Ready for a Close up?

I have a closer look at the Pennant Parade cupcake picks for you.  They were really simple to put together.  Tomorrow I will make a couple more to show you how I adhere the pieces to the toothpick.

Come back tomorrow and I'll give you some more details on how I made these!  Thanks for all your great comments and interest, I really appreciate it!!

A Pennant Parade Birthday

I am LOVING this new set Pennant Parade and coordinating punch Petite Pennants.  There are sooo many possibilities my brain doesn't know where to focus first!!  Since I have the Just Add Cake DSP, I decided to build a birthday set around that color pallet.  Here's the ensemble.

Today I am focusing on the party favors.  I made two different party favors, both are based off of previous projects I've done.  First I made the CD envelope that mimicked the card.  I wanted to have something besides a cookie in the envelope (what I'd done previously) and ended up using Smarties.  I needed a candy that was fairly flat that would stay nicely put in the envelope.  Well, the Smarties are perfect!!  They looked festive like a party favor should!  Here's the closeup.

I really like the candy in the envelope.  You will be seeing some Halloween ideas for this soon!

Next, I had the clothes pin magnets on the brain after the great response from everyone about the flower magnets.  So...I had to make some party favor clothes pin magnets! :)  I really love the way they turned out.  I used the Just Add Cake DSP and the punch to make these super quick today.

When I thought about packaging, I wanted a way to keep the magnets stable so they could be seen well.  Here's what I came up with.

I die cut a piece of the backing from my Just Add Cake DSP with the Scallop #2 die using the larger of the two circles.  That way the magnets all have a place to clip on and stay pretty!  I placed the set in a large cello bag and it's ready to go!

I will share the rest of the Birthday Set in another blog post, so stay tuned!  Thanks for stopping by!

Flower Magnets

Ok, so I have seen these really cute clothespin magnets all over the place. So, I decided to make some using the Fun Flowers die.  Let's just say I got a little obsessed with them!  Before I knew it I had hundreds of flower die cuts and clothespins and designer paper all over my dining room table!  I made about 5 dozen total with lots of left over flowers for later!
Here's just a few to show you how they turned out.

These are just a few of the color combinations that I made.  I have given a bunch of these away already.  My stamping club each got a set of 4, then I gave one away to each person that attended my mystery hostess party.  Plus, I gave some to my Mom, Mother-in-Law and sisters.  I just love that this is a useful yet beautiful little token of appreciation!

If you'd like to make your own flower magnets, you can visit my Demonstrator Business Website HERE and shop for any supplies you may need.

Shabby vs Clean

Today's share is one card made two ways.  The first being shabby chic the second being crisp and clean.  Which do you like better?  I still can't decide..I like both!!

The card is a simple layout using only one stamp, the greeting.  The base card is Very Vanilla which is embossed with the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I added some color using the new In Color Calypso Coral (Love it!).  Then I added the focus of the card, the greeting framed with the new Designer Frames Embossing Folders.  I used the oval frame and I just love it!  It works perfectly with the Extra Large Oval Punch.  The finishing touch was a few flowers made with the retired Triple Flower Punch.  Here's closer look at the clean version.

And here's a close up of the shabby version.

Which do you prefer??  I love that it is a beautiful card that you can use for just about anything!  Just change the greeting and you're set for any occasion!

If you'd like to make your own version of this card, you can visit my Demonstrator Business Website HERE and shop for supplies.

Up, Up and Away..

I am loving the Create a Cupcake stamp set and matching Cupcake Builder Punch.  I have been working on a group of cards for a set sampler using this set and I wanted something out of the box.  I have seen some cute ideas to use the bottom of the cupcake as a vase or basket, so here's what I did.

The basket was made from Crumb Cake card stock that I embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder and the Cupcake Builder punch.  The ballon itself was made from the Just Add Cake DSP and the 1 3/4 circle punch.  I made the clouds by punching a few cupcake tops then adhered them to the paper with removable adhesive and sponged around them.  I like the soft colors, I used the new In Color Pool Party and So Saffron.  It is a simple yet sweet card, I am quite pleased with it!  I love the idea that the punches can be used for more than what they are intended for!

A Cute and Quick Decorative Project

I have a really quick and cute project that would be great to use at home or to give away.  It is a glass jar decorated with Designer Series Paper and a flower made with the Fun Flowers die cut.

I actually used this as a jar for the hostess prize drawing at my Mystery Hostess party in June.  It would be super cute for storing craft supplies or even in the kitchen for snacks or odds-n-ends.  So keep your eyes open for cute jars, you can transform something plain into something beautiful with just a little paper!

Thanks for visiting!  If you'd need supplies for your projects, you can shop 24/7 on my business website.  Just click HERE then click on the Shop Now button in the top right corner.

Have a great day!

Lots of Butterflies!

I have been seeing these cute butterfly cards everywhere and thought I'd try them out for myself.  Oh my goodness, they are so cute and easy!!  I made a set of 4 and a cute box to put them in and I made a place card too!
First the cards.
I used the Beautiful Butterflies die cut to make this cute easel card.  The Springtome Vintage DSP from the previous mini catalog was perfect for this project.  Each butterfly card was a different color with a matching DSP butterfly on the front.  Here are close ups of each so you can see the details.

They fit neatly into a little box that I made using the Scallop Envelope die cut.

I also made a place card.  It is just the right size and adds some color and pizzaz to your table setting.

If you'd like to make your own butterfly cards, you can shop 24/7 on my business website.  Just click HERE and click on the shop now button in the top right corner.
