Perfect Blend for CCMC270

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Creat with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a color challenge, take a look.

Aren't these colors great for fall!  I don't have a lot of fall stamps.   In fact I am such a Halloween fan that I usually just get those stamps from the new Holiday catalogs.  So I had to think in another direction. I decided that Perfect Blend would fit the bill.  Who doesn't love coffee or hot chocolate on a chilly fall evening?  Here's what I came up with, a clean and simple card.

As I've said before, I am loving the simple white background with a pop of bright colors.  The colors for this week are perfect for this style of card.  Here's what I did.

1.  Used Whisper White for my card base.  Stamped splatters from Gorgeous Grunge with Cajun Craze.

2.  Stamped the coffee cup with StazOn Black on Whisper White and die cut it with the Deco Labels framelit.

3.  Stamped the coffee cup on Cajun Craze cs and Crushed Curry cs then cut out a lid and center section to add to my white coffee cup.  I stamped the sentiment on the Crushed Curry center before cutting it out.

4.  Used Tombow Multi Purpose glue to adhere the lid and center section to my cup.  Paper pierced around the edge of the die cut freehand.

5.  Cut 1/2" x 3" strips of card stock in the challenge colors.  Made them into banners using the Hexagon Punch.  Adhered them to my card with SNAIL.

6.  Added the coffee cup to the card with dimensionals.

That's it! A bright and happy coffee cup for fall!  I hope you will join the color challenge with me!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details and more great samples.

If it doesn't move...stamp it!!

I really like how you highlighted the three colors in the combo by making flags with them. Perfect!

Hot Coffee or cocoa makes for a great fall card! Great cup and addition of grunge; the flags are perfect in the challenge colors!

LOVE that set and how you used the flags in the background to bring out the colors on the white! So pretty! Great job on the color challenge last week!
