A Christmas Card for CCMC279

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family and friends.  Today I have a challenge card to share, there is a new sketch at Create with Connie and Mary.

I have been on a roll with Christmas cards, so I did another one!  This one features Festive Flurry and
A Banner Christmas.

I used Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush as my colors.  The Strawberry Slush just pops against the Coastal Cabana...love it!  The DSP is from the Brights Collection DSP pack and there is a strip of Silver Glimmer paper on the left side.  I added bling of course, Frosted Finishes Embellishment and Rhinestone gems.

This was a really fun sketch to work with, I hope you will join along!  You can find all the details and more samples from the Design Team at Create with Connie and Mary.  Thanks for visiting today!

Christmas Treats

It's been awhile since I have share a 3D item, so today I have a fun Christmas treat to show you.

I saw this idea on Do Stamping with Dawn, she has some really great treats!  This was originally a Halloween treat that she shared and did a video for.  You can see the video HERE.  When I saw it I immediately thought of Christmas.  I made two designs since they are super easy to put together.

The first one features the Chalk Talk Bundle.  The tag looks beautiful against the striped paper from the Season of Style DSP Pack.  Here is it opened up.  Dawn used Chiclets, I went with snack size Kit Kats.

For the second design, I used Endless Wishes.  I am so glad I ordered this set when I did, it's sold out now!

I stamped the medium snowflake and believe it or not, I die cut it using one of the Festive Flurry framelits!!  Isn't that the coolest!  It was soooo much faster than fussy cutting and it looks nice and crisp!

I hope you liked my Christmas treats!  They would be a great gift for giving out this Holiday Season.  Thanks for visiting!

Festive Flurry for TSSC290

Wow, Monday is here already!  That sure was a quick weekend!  Today we have a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Mary Jo at Technostamper, take a look.

I have been really enjoying Festive Flurry lately, my new go to set for this time of year.  Today I used it for the challenge with Coastal Cabana as the main color.

When I first saw the sketch, I could see a snowflake as the focal point.  I think this one turned out beautiful.  I made it layered with a little bit of silver embossing and bling to bring it to life.

I also did layering on the card itself using Coastal Cabana and paper from the Winter Frost DSP Pack.  I love the bit of silver in the snowflake design of the paper that I used for the stripe on the left side of the card base.  I played off that by adding a bit of Silver Glimmer paper, the silver embossed snowflake and the Frosted Finishes embellishment.

This was such a great challenge, I hope you will join me!  You can see cards made by other members of the design team by clicking on the links below.  Go to Technostamper to find out more about participating and to link up your card!

A Grunge Card for CCMC278

It's Thursday already, this week is flying by!  There is a new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we are using the colors Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand.

I don't have much in the way of fall stamps, so I went with the grunge look for my card.

The card base is Sahara Sand with Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke.
I cut a piece of Always Artichoke card stock to look like a polaroid picture.  The center was cut out to show the Sahara Sand underneath.  I stamped "hey there friend" from the My Paper Pumpkin starter kit inside the polaroid.  To add in the Tangerine, I put a few Candy Dots on the card.  The "you made my day" came from A Dozen Thoughts and was stamped in Tangerine Tango.  That's the basics for my grunge card for today. I hope you will join the challenge with me.  You can find all the details and more samples from the Design Team at Create with Connie and Mary.  Thanks for visiting today!

Festive Flurry for Try Stampin' On Tuesday #145

I have a fun and Sparkly Festive Flurry card to share with you today.  I made it for this week's challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  Here is a look at the sketch.

Since Christmas is only a hop, skip and jump away I went with a snowflake card.  Festive Flurry is so much fun to work with so naturally it was my choice.

I started out with a design of paper from the Winter Frost DSP Pack, but something wasn't right.  I happened to have a bit of Bermuda Bay paper out from the Bright DSP Stack and it just looked amazing on the card.   I was just about ready to scrap my original design too!  The design is pretty simple.  I used Glimmer Paper for the border on the left side of the DSP and for the smaller of the two snowflakes.  The larger snowflake is die cut from Bermuda bay, I layered the shimmery snowflake on top of it.  I added in a few rhinestone gems for added sparkle, the card stock looked too blank to me.  The final part of the design was the greeting.  I went with Endless Wishes stamped with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.  I am super pleased with the way it all turned out!

I hope you will join the challenge with me this week!  Just go to Try Stampin' On Tuesday for all the details and to see the other beautiful cards from the design team.

A Fun Thank You for TSSC289

It's Monday and time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from Mary Jo at Technostamper.

I wanted to use this sketch for a Thank you card and I wanted it to be fun.  Here's what I ended up making.

I didn't decide on my colors right away, they evolved with the card.  I knew I wanted to use the polka dot paper from Birthday Basics DSP, so I used coordinating colors.  The card base is Bermuda Bay with Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Basic Gray used as accent colors.  This is definitely a color palette that I don't use very often!  The greetings are from Endless Wishes and A Dozen Thoughts.  The stars and thnx die cuts are from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.  It's a really fun and bright card for sure!  I hope you will step out of your comfort zone too and join the challenge with me! You can see cards made by other members of the design team by clicking on the links below.  Go to Technostamper to find out more about participating and to link up your card!

Color Me Christmas for CCMC277

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  This week we have a sketch, a square one for a change up.

I haven't done a square card in quite awhile, so this was a fun challenge!  I went with a smaller size square, 4 1/4".    Color me Christmas was the first set to jump into my head, here's what I came up with.

I have been into making Christmas cards, so I figured I'd just replace the flower in the sketch with a cute little reindeer!  Here are all the details.

1.  Cut Gumball Green cards stock 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" to make my 4 1/4" square card.

2.  Cut Real Red card stock 3 3/4" x 1 3/4" then embossed it with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  Added it to my card with SNAIL.

3.  Cut a 3/4" x 3 3/4" strip of polka dot paper from the Season of Style DSP pack. Added it to the card next to the Real Red card stock.

4.  Stamped the reindeer on Whissper White card stock with StazOn Black ink.  Colored him in using a blender pen and re-inkers.  Fussy cut him out.  I used Soft Suede for his body.  Real Red with Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive for his scarf and sweater.

5.  Cut a strip of Sahara Sand 3/4"x 4 1/4" and made a banner end using the hexagon punch.  Stamped "very merry Christmas" from Endless Wishes.    Added the banner to the card with SNAIL and the reindeer with dimensionals.

A super cute and fast card!  So much so that I made a second card with the Santa!

I hope you will join the challenge with me.  You can find all the details for it at Create with Connie and Mary.  While you are there be sure to check out the beautiful projects they previewed for the Winter Collection 2013.  They have so many gorgeous ideas to share and the Winter Collection, as with all their collections, is an amazing value.  Here's the details.
