Loving Tulips plus Preview Day 3!

Spring is here and I am looking forward to lots of beautiful flowers blooming.  Tulips are one of my favorites, so I thought I would do a card with the gorgeous Love it Kindness stamp.

I went with an oval card, it makes a nice frame for the bouquet!  The card base is Wisteria Wonder cut with the largest Oval Framelit.  There is a slender border of Pool Party and the Whisper White that the tulips are stamped on.

This was another super quick and easy card since you have just the one stamp involved.  It turns into more of a wow card since it's an unusual shape.

OK...now onto the good stuff about Preview Week!  Today it's  Melissa Davies' turn to feature and card and BLOG CANDY!!!  So, jump on over to Create with Connie and Mary to see what she has for us today!

Thanks so much for visiting!! Happy Stamping!!

Cheerful Birthday

Today I have a cute little Cheerful Critters card to share for the Sketch Challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  First, let's look at the sketch for this week.

I pulled out the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper for color inspiration and came up with this fun card.

With this particular design, I thought a little critter would be cute sitting on the paper.  I love the bold bright colors from Birthday Bash DSP and focused in on the yellows.  The chic is a perfect fit colored with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

For the sentiment, I pulled a greeting from a past My Paper Pumpkin.  Stamped in Bermuda Bay it coordinates well with the designer paper.

This card was quick and easy, just what I like!!  Now it's your turn to try out this week's sketch.  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Thanks so much for visiting!! Happy Stamping!

A Happy Thing plus Preview Day 2

Happy Monday!  I have a sweet card to share with you today featuring A Happy Thing from Sale-a-bration.  I am sooooo sad that Sale-a-bration is ending tomorrow, all of these products are just so fun to work with!  I really loved my Lotus Blossom card from a few weeks ago so I decided to use the design with the happy bird since I've not done a card with it yet.

I think these colors are just gorgeous together and the bird looks amazing!  Here's a look at the card that I took this design from.

I kept the same basic layout the, just changed up the sentiment and embellishments.

I used the sentiment from Lotus Blossom.  It's stamped directly on the designer paper with Coastal Cabana ink.  The card needed a little extra something, so I added a couple of small Crisp Cantaloupe flowers with the flower punch in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  Each flower has a small pearl in the center.

Now that I've done this card, I am so sad that I didn't use this set more over the last couple of months!

Now onto some fun stuff!!  It's Preview Day 2 for the Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions Collection and Mary has a FREE TUTORIAL and BLOG CANDY today!!!  So run on over to check out her awesome card collection and more details about what the Card "Create"tions Collection is all about.  I hope you'll join us!!

Something for Baby

I have another card to share today, this one is for sketch challenge #179 from Freshly Made Sketches.  I thought this was a great clean and simple design to work with.

I just got the Something for Baby Bundle and thought it would be perfect for this sketch.

The Best Year Ever Designer Paper from Sale-a-bration was the inspiration for my colors.  The card base is Coastal Cabana embossed with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  I added in a piece of the bokeh inspired paper with two of the corners rounded.

A baby onsie was stamped with Coastal Cabana on Whisper White and die cut with the coordinating framelit.  A cute little duckie adds a splash of color.  It's stamped with Daffodil Delight on Whisper White.  I also stamped a duck with Tangerine Tango then cut the beak out to add to the Daffodil Delight duck.

Since Something for Baby doesn't have sentiments, I pulled the "Congratulations" from Guy Greetings.  I liked the size and the lettering, it was a perfect fit for the banner.

So that's it!! My first card using the really sweet Something for Baby Bundle.  Having matching framelits for this set is such a bonus, I just love when Stampin' Up! helps us out like that!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Happy Stamping!

Card "Create"tions Celebrations Preview Week is Here!

Yay!!  Preview Week is here!!  I am super excited about the new Card "Create"tions Collection from Create with Connie and Mary!  Each day this week we have a preview card for you and there is BLOG CANDY and FREE TUTORIALS as well!!!

Be sure to go to Create with Connie and Mary for more information about the collection.  Deb Currier has a great card for you today plus BLOG CANDY so be sure to go and see her today!

I have a fun little treat bag to share today that actually matches my card from yesterday.  I used For Being You and Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack.

The paper from the designer paper stacks doesn't quite fit the Mini Treat Bag thinlet, but I made due.  I used two of the smaller side to piece together the back.  With the design of paper that I used, this method worked out fine.

For the front, I cut a banner with the striped paper and added a few embellishments.  The sentiment was stamped on a starburst of Calypso Coral.  I used painter's tape to mask off the particular words that I wanted to use and stacked them on the paper.  Next to it I added a Crisp Cantaloupe heart from the strip of hearts thinlet in the set.  I popped it up with a little piece of dimensional.  Underneath the starburst is the the Crisp Cantaloupe hearts in a row.  All of the items are adhered to the bag, but I decorated a cute little clothes pin to add to the top.  A small heart design from the paper stack was glued to the top of the clip with Tombow.  I love how coordinated it makes the bag to have that last little touch.

Doesn't this make a fun set!! I just love coordinating little gifts and cards like this.  The bag is such a great compliment to the card with it's polka dot design and striped banner.  You can see all of the details about the card HERE if you missed it.

Now, head on over to see what Deb Currier has to share today for Preview week!!  I hope you'll join the collection with us, we have so much to share!!!

Thanks for visiting today!! Happy Stamping!!
