This is Week 1 of Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions for All Occasions. You can go to Create with Connie and Mary and see the previews to find out what this installment is all about.
This week's challenge is all about color.
This is a color combo I haven't tried before so I was excited for the challenge! I have been on a roll with Secret Garden so I used that bundle for this card.
I went with the darkest color, Island Indigo as my card base. I added texture by embossing with the Honeycomb EF. I went a step further with texture and embossed the red card stock layer with the Chevron EF. I added in a doily (as I've said I love doilies!) to layer my flowers on. I have really been loving these flowers from Secret Garden heat embossed and water colored. I did two of the flowers with Cameo Coral as the base layer of color and highlighted with Real Red. The last flower was colored with Island Indigo. I did a light layer of color with darker highlights added in.
To bring in more of the Cameo Coral, I die cut leaves from the Secret Garden Framelits. I added in Island Indigo leaves as well to add a pop of color. For final touches, I added a pearl to each flower and a simple greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

WOW!! I do love this! What a beautiful way to use the challenge colors! And I love the doily to layer the flowers on, too! Really highlights them! So great to have you working on the CCMC team!
