Flashback Friday: Twick or Tweet

Happy Friday!  Time for another flashback for Halloween!!  This week I am featuring a super cute set from 2009 called Twick or Tweet.  I just loved this set the moment I saw it!  Take a look.

Isn't this just the cutest set?! I am loving the new Circle Flip Card Thinlet, so I decided to do a fun flip card.

This card uses the thinlet, but in a different way.   I got the instructions from Sandi MacIver, she is so clever!

Here's the inside so you can see how it differs from the original shape.

I used a retired DSP as well for this card.  Let me walk you through the basic steps.  To see the tutorial from Sandi, click HERE.

1.  Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock 4 1/4" x 11".  Adhered a piece of DSP 2" x 4 1/8" to the left side.

2.  I scored the card stock at 7" so I knew where my folded over piece would be.  Then I added a piece of Whisper White card stock 3 3/4" x 4" to the center of the card by lining up the right side of the paper to my scored line on the black card stock.

3.  Ran the paper through the Big Shot with the thinlet.  I left the right side of the paper up above the right side of the die cut so I would not cut off my flap.

4.  Now I have my card ready to embellish.  The DSP on the left and the Whisper White in the center are now cut perfectly to fit the flip.

5.  The first thing I did was stamp the skeleton with the dog on Whisper White and die cut it with the scalloped circle that came with the Circle Flip Card Thinlet.

I layered it on a Pumpkin Pie circle die cut with the Circle Framelits.  I added Smokey Slate to the dog with a blender pen.  I also added shading around the skeleton and dog with a blender pen and Sahara Sand ink pad.

6.  Next I added a Lucky Limeade scalloped circle to the inside of the flip circle using the scallop die that came with the set.  I stamped the greeting in StazOn black.

7.  I added DSP to the other two flaps, the inside and outside of the right flap.  The DSP measured
3 3/4" x 4" for both.

8.  I added one more element to the inside.  The white in the center of the card needed something, so I stamped the pumpkins with StazOn Black and colored them with a blender pen and ink pads.

And that's it!  A very fun and functional flip card!  I just love the layout!  A very big thanks to Sandi for showing me how to make it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

If it doesn't move...stamp it!!
