These colors are PERFECT for a snowflake card, sooooo it's a Festive Flurry card yet again. I am really enjoying this bundle, you can't go wrong. The snowflake stamps are beautiful and you can die cut them to boot, what's not to love?! I did an interactive card to mix it up a little this time, take a look.
I wanted something unusual, and this fits the bill! It takes a little work, but totally worth it! I found a great tutorial at Splitcoaststampers that I've been wanting to try, so a color challenge was the perfect time. For the directions, click HERE.
The card has Raspberry Ripple for the base with a layer of Soft Sky and Very Vanilla added. the Very Vanilla layer was embossed with the new Stylish Stripes EF. Once the Soft Sky and Very Vanilla layers are assembled, I made the cuts through both layers for the pop up area. The cool thing about this card is that it's a complete card. It opens so you can write a message inside.
The snowflakes on the front and the tag are stamped using Soft Sky. For the focal point snowflake, I blinged it up a bit.
I fussy cut the snowflake so I could layer it on the snowflake die cut from Raspberry Ripple card stock. This gives just a hint of color like a halo around the snowflake, makes it pop against the Very Vanilla card stock. The snowflake still needed more, so I added Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to the ends and middle of the the snowflake. The final bit if bling is the gorgeous Frosted Finishes Embellishment. NOW we have a very serious focal point! I didn't add any other colors or embellishments to the front since it has a lot going on with the secret window and the blinged up snowflake.
A tag that is hidden behind the front panel is how the hidden window appears. The tag is Soft Sky card stock with a Soft Sky snowflake stamped on it.
