A Christmas Tag for Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Today I have a gorgeous Christmas tag to share that I made for today's challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Usually we have a sketch to work with, but this week we are making Holiday tags and giving a tutorial so you can make one too!  Here's a look at the tag before I show you how I made it.

This is super easy  to make.  I used the largest tag from the Chalk Talk Framelits for the tag base, done in Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The bow is made using punches.  The Extra Large Oval and Large Oval punches form the bows.  I have a couple of pictures for you, but you can see the specifics in the step by step tutorial for bows I did awhile back, just click HERE.

Punch two ovals from each of the punches plus cut a strip of paper 3/4" x 3".

Use the Hexagon punch or a square punch to make banner ends of the strip of paper.

Fold over the ovals and adhere the ends together.  I used a small piece of sticky strip since it has the best hold.

I stamped my greeting from Endless Wishes with Craft White Ink.

I completed my bow by stacking the ovals on the strip of DSP with banner ends.  I added a little bling with a piece of Silver Glimmer paper punched with the 7/8" scallop circle and a Frosted Finishes Embellishment.

The ribbon is Satin Basic Gray that was simply put through the hole at the top of the tag and adhered together with a couple of glue dots.  A small bow from 1/4" Silver Ribbon finishes off the tag.

I am super pleased with how the tag turned out.  I think it looks very elegant and will be perfect for Hubby's Christmas present this year.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my tag today.  I hope you will join us at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and make a tag of your own.  You can find out more details about the challenge on the Try Stampin' Blog along with more great samples from the Design Team.

If it doesn't move...stamp it!!
