Today's card is made using the great sketch for the challenge this week at Create with Connie and Mary. Here is the sketch for the week.
Since I've had the pinwheel sizzlet out this week, I made a card using it and more of the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP that I am loving.
I used Marina Mist CS as my base card, embossed with Cloudy Day EF. The Whisper White CS layer is also embossed with Cloudy day, and blends in nicely. I wanted to represent nature in the layers, so I added in layers of DSP from Sunshine and Sprinkles. The yellow for the sun, green for the grass, and the blue with clouds for sky. Finally, a fun pinwheel is added to the top of the layers and a greeting from Wishes Your Way. This card is fun and looks like Spring to me!!
I hope you will join us for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. Just hop over to their blog for all the details and to add your card!

A Pinwheel Birthday for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC260
It's Monday, so time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!! I had a ton of fun making this one, I knew right away when I saw the sketch which direction I would go with it. Here's our sketch for the week.
I haven't used the Pinwheel sizzlet in a little while so I thought it would be a fun focal point for a card with this sketch, take a look.
Isn't this a fun Spring card?? I have really been loving the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP from the Spring Catalog and thought the layering of the DSP and the Cloudy Day EF would be a perfect paired together. I used the DSP also for grass and the pinwheel itself.
I was pleased with how the card was going, then came to a stop for a moment...where in the world was I going to put my greeting?? I first thought about a banner across the grass. Then, it hit me....makes clouds with the greeting. I just got the fun set Wishes you Way from the Spring Catalog that is meant for this pinwheel. I simply used a marker to ink each word of the Happy Birthday separately, then punched them out with the cupcake builder punch. Instant greeting clouds!! I layered them right above the pinwheel using dimensionals, the top cloud actually has 2 dimensionals stacked to make it stand higher.
How fun is that?! Super cute and fit right in with the design! So, that's it! My card was complete. I hope you will hop over to Technostamper and join in the challenge with us!! There are more ideas from the Design Team members, just click on the links below to see their blogs.

Sycamore Street Pinwheel Card
With Sale-a-bration coming to a close, I wanted to make more cards using the FREE products to share. This card uses the Sycamore Street DSP and the Pinwheel sizzlet.
This card has elements of a card I did previously for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. I used the FREE Sycamore Street DSP for my pinwheel. An orange brad holds it together and a piece of the FREE ribbon in Island Indigo is the handle of the pinwheel. I stamped Happy Birthday in Island Indigo on Tangerine Tango and die cut it with a Bitty Banner Framelit. Both the Island Indigo card base and Whisper White layer have been embossed with the Cloudy Day EF. And finally, the grass is in Lucky Limeade embossed with the lacy embossing folder from Delicate Designs Folders. It has really been fun using the In Colors in combination with the Sycamore Street DSP and the matching ribbons and buttons from Sale-a-bration. I really hadn't used the In Colors that matched that often, and now I can't seem to put them down!
Be sure to get your order in before Sale-a-bration ends on Friday at midnight. You can shop from home or you can contact me to place an order. Just click HERE to go to my on-line demonstrator website store.

Pinwheel Birthday
Today I have a simple and pretty monochromatic card to share with the Pinwheel Sizzlet.
I love the Sycamore Street DSP so I started out with which design I wanted to work with. I ended up with a pretty monochromatic card with a splash of Island Indigo. The card base is embossed with the Honeycomb EF to give texture. I stacked a couple strips of paper, the Island Indigo is embossed with the Cloudy Day EF. Added in the pinwheel using the same DSP and a greeting.
I added the ribbon at the last minute, the card looked like it still needed a little something. In the end, it's a simple card that has some interesting elements. This is the card I have planned for Pat's workshop on Saturday. Pretty simple to do, yet lots of texture and a touch of whimsy!
Thanks for stopping in. Flashback Friday is back tomorrow, so be sure to stop back for a trip down memory lane!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC252
Happy Monday! It's time for the Lunchtime Sketch Challenge again! It's always fun to have a sketch to work with and this week's challenge was a good one. Here's the sketch Mary Jo gave us.
Here is the card I came up with.
I went with mostly Sale-a-bration items, can't seem to put them down! I started to make a flower for the center, then changed my mind and used the Pinwheel Sizzlet. I layered the card with the Vine Street EF then added in the DSP from Sycamore Street that had the same vine look. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I originally had the pinwheel directly on the green layer, but it didn't stand out enough. I die cut the smallest framelit from the windows collection and put it behind the pinwheel and popped it up on a dimensional. Gave a little color boost and height.
Give the sketch challenge a try for yourself, just go to Technostamper and submit a card. Here is a list of the other design team members for more inspiration.
