Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Woo Hoo!! I am so excited about the new weekly blog hop that we are doing each Saturday for Create with Connie and Mary!  If you stopped by their blog on Thursday, you may have notice the change.  There are four wonderful new Design Team members doing the weekly challenge and 4 of us plus Connie and Mary have started a NEW weekly BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about Sale-a-bration stamps and today we are creating with Lotus Blossom.  You should be coming from Melissa Davies' beautiful Rubberfunatics Blog.   Make sure you follow the links and go all the way through to see all of the beautiful designs we have to share!

I made my soft pretty Lotus Blossom card and loved it so much I had to make a sweet little Mini Treat Box to match.

They were very simple to put together and are going to make a lovely little gift for a friend.

The card started out with a Pool Party base to which I added a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe as well as layer of Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  This particular design is my favorite in the pack, I love the soft focus look of it.  The lotus blossom was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral then die cut with a circle framelit.  I added a slender Crisp Cantaloupe matting by hand cutting the cardstock then added it to a doily on the left side of the card.  A Coastal Cabana "hello" was die cut with the Hello You Thinlets.  I adhered it to the lower right side of the card with the two- way glue pen.  Last little touch was a few circles of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper scattered around.

The box was pretty easy to do as well, just a little more work with putting the flower together.  I adhered a 1 3/8 strip of designer paper all the way around the box.  I used the same designer paper as the card.  The sentiment was simple, just a greeting from Crazy for You stamped with Pool Party on Whisper White and die cut with an Itty Bitty Banner framelit.  I trimmed off the left end of the banner then adhered it to the front of the box.  A small Crisp Cantaloupe flower made with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack adds a bit of color to the sentiment and covers the cut end of the banner.

The flower on top of the box was made with the Bouquet Bigz L Die using the small petals, stamens, and leaf die cuts.  I am working on getting my first video done to show you how I made this flower and mini treat box.  I am hoping to get it posted next week but I am still learning so wish me luck!

I hope my Lotus Blossom card and matching box has inspired you to pull this set out and stamp!!  Now it's time to move on to Debbie Henderson's fabulous blog Debbie's Designs for more great inspiration.

Whoever receives this will love it for sure, Nicole! I love how the DSP has the bokeh effect, without the work :) Such a pretty card. Thanks for sharing.
