A Basket Bouquet

Hi Stampers!  I have more flowers for you today!  I had some baskets in my craft room that have been patiently waiting to be embellished for at least 5 or 6 years now.  The flowers from the Bouquet die are PERFECT for decorating these, so I made a video to show you how I made a couple of the flowers.  First, let me show you the baskets.

These would be a great gift for Easter or Mother's Day.  The flap opens so you can put goodies inside.  I first made the basket with Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe, I just love that color combination!

For the video, I used Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride for my flowers.

I added in stamping with these flowers as well using the coordinating set Build a Bouquet.  I have all of the details for you in the video below.  I also have measurements for you for each flower listed below the video.

Measurements for die cutting the flowers:
Large Flower:
(5) Large flower petals: 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" (Wisteria Wonder)
(4) Small flower petals: 1 1/2" x 2" (Wisteria Wonder)
(5) Stamen 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" (Elegant Eggplant)

Five Petal Flower:
(12) 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" (Blushing Bride) 3 for each flower for 4 flowers

Leaves:
(4) Large tear shaped leaf 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" (Pear Pizzaz)

The Designer Series paper is 1 11/16" x 9 1/2" and I used 2 strips to cover the trim on the basket.  The first basket used Best Year Ever DSP, a Crisp Cantaloupe design and the second used Something Borrowed DSP.

I hope you enjoyed these baskets and flowers today!! Thanks so much for visiting!! Happy Stamping!

Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Woo Hoo!! I am so excited about the new weekly blog hop that we are doing each Saturday for Create with Connie and Mary!  If you stopped by their blog on Thursday, you may have notice the change.  There are four wonderful new Design Team members doing the weekly challenge and 4 of us plus Connie and Mary have started a NEW weekly BLOG HOP!  This month we are all about Sale-a-bration stamps and today we are creating with Lotus Blossom.  You should be coming from Melissa Davies' beautiful Rubberfunatics Blog.   Make sure you follow the links and go all the way through to see all of the beautiful designs we have to share!

http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/

I made my soft pretty Lotus Blossom card and loved it so much I had to make a sweet little Mini Treat Box to match.

They were very simple to put together and are going to make a lovely little gift for a friend.

The card started out with a Pool Party base to which I added a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe as well as layer of Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  This particular design is my favorite in the pack, I love the soft focus look of it.  The lotus blossom was stamped with Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral then die cut with a circle framelit.  I added a slender Crisp Cantaloupe matting by hand cutting the cardstock then added it to a doily on the left side of the card.  A Coastal Cabana "hello" was die cut with the Hello You Thinlets.  I adhered it to the lower right side of the card with the two- way glue pen.  Last little touch was a few circles of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper scattered around.

The box was pretty easy to do as well, just a little more work with putting the flower together.  I adhered a 1 3/8 strip of designer paper all the way around the box.  I used the same designer paper as the card.  The sentiment was simple, just a greeting from Crazy for You stamped with Pool Party on Whisper White and die cut with an Itty Bitty Banner framelit.  I trimmed off the left end of the banner then adhered it to the front of the box.  A small Crisp Cantaloupe flower made with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack adds a bit of color to the sentiment and covers the cut end of the banner.

The flower on top of the box was made with the Bouquet Bigz L Die using the small petals, stamens, and leaf die cuts.  I am working on getting my first video done to show you how I made this flower and mini treat box.  I am hoping to get it posted next week but I am still learning so wish me luck!

I hope my Lotus Blossom card and matching box has inspired you to pull this set out and stamp!!  Now it's time to move on to Debbie Henderson's fabulous blog Debbie's Designs for more great inspiration.

Spring Collection Week 4 Blog Hop!

It's Saturday and time for the last blog hop of the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary.  We've had an exciting four weeks and we are so glad you joined us!  For those of you that haven't, it's not too late to see what all the fuss is about!  You can still subscribe and enjoy all of the tutorials.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details.  You should be coming from Melissa's blog, she had the cutest project this week, I just loved it!

http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/

My project this week was made with the new Bouquet Bigz L Die so I made a card today with a couple of the die cuts and the matching stamp set Build a Bouquet.

Doesn't this look like spring?  I love So Saffron and Calypso Coral together.   It's a very pretty color combination that looks beautiful against the Crumb Cake Woodgrain background.

For this look, I used the five petal flower and the leaves.  Both of the flowers have been stamped in the center with So Safflower ink using a stamp from Build a Bouquet.  I added in small flowers using the Petite Petals Punch.  I stamped them as well to give extra dimension.  They were also rounded using the Stampin' Pierce mat and a stylus.  This brought the petals up and gave them life.  The yellow flowers were given shape with a bone folder.  I added candy dots and pearls to the centers to complete the look.

Pear Pizzaz leaves added a nice bit of color and filled out the arrangement.  The sentiment was kept simple and stamped at the top of the card in Early Espresso Ink.  A couple of Crisp Cantaloupe butterflies are a perfect finishing touch.

I hope you've enjoyed today's card!  Now it's time to give Debbie Henderson a visit and check out her wonderful project.

Bouquet Bigz L Die

It's Friday, which means my last exclusive tutorial for the Spring Collection 2015 has gone live.  The four weeks have flown by and I have loved every minute!  If you aren't a subscriber yet, you can still join in the fun!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details.

My exclusive project features the new Bouquet Bigz L Die so I wanted to do a little project for you today to show how pretty these flowers are!

I put together a quick package using a Petite Cafe' Bag.  This is a great way to give a little gift in style!  The embellishment is simple. Just a gorgeous flower, a doily and a little tag with linen thread.

The flower consists of three parts from the die.  A layer of 5 large petals, a layer of 4 small petals and a grouping of 5 stamens in the center.  The paper for the petals is the soft polka dot design from the  Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  The stamens are in Sahara Sand.  I like the soft color for the center, these colors blend beautifully.

I layered the flower on a doily to soften up the background.  A couple of leaves die cut in Pear Pizzaz are glued on each side of the flower.  I used hot glue for this project to assure a firm hold.

The linen thread is wrapped around the top of the bag a few times and tied with a simple knot.  The finishing touch is a sweet little tag made with a garden pick made with From the Garden stamps and coordinating framelits.  I made it crisp and clean on Whisper White cardstock with Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzaz ink.  The tag is hooked over the thread and the end sealed to the back with a mini glue dot.

I think this would make a lovely gift for Mother's Day or Easter, it's just screams Spring and happiness!

I hope you give this great Bouquet Bigz L die a try, it has so many possibilities!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I will have a card to share that uses this die and the matching stamp set.

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!
