Flashback Friday: I'm Here

It's Friday again, time for a flashback!! Today we are traveling back to 2004 for the cute set called I'm Here.  As you all may know, I have a brand new baby boy, he is 6 weeks old today.  I have lots of cards to make and get out for thank you's and announcements.  I thought this set was really cute and would be perfect for what I need.  I actually have two cards to share.  One card was done as a thank you that were sent out a few weeks ago and one card I just made.  First of all, here is the stamp set.

Let's look at the card I just made for today.  I am quite pleased with the simple but fun layout.

The card base is the now retired Bashful Blue.  I am sooooo going to miss this color!  I added in banners from the retired DSP Nursery Nest.  I actually bought this particular DSP on the clearance rack and I just love it, so cute!  The foot prints were stamped on Whisper White with Marina Mist which was stamped off once to get a lighter shade of blue.  I die cut the foot prints out with the new Circles Framelits, they are AWESOME!  I did paper piercing around the edge of the circle.  It's not the best, because it was free-hand.  The circles on my paper piercing pack were too small for this size circle so I had to improvise! Last element was the greeting.  I used Curly Cute, another great set that just retired.  It was stamped using the new Smokey Slate.  I love that new color, but I think for the other cards I make using this design I will stamp the greeting with Basic Gray so it's a bit darker.
Now here is a look at the first card I made a few weeks ago, there are two versions of it.

Both of these cards use a very old DSP that came with one of the earlier Simply Scrapping kits.  Back then the DSP was one sided and a thicker card stock.  It was perfect for these cards.  I used Marina Mist for my card base.  The other supplies were So Saffron CS, and Bashful Blue gross grain ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed the flashback to 2004, we'll make another trip next Friday!  Thanks for spending time here, hope to see you tomorrow for See it Again Saturday!

If it doesn't move...stamp it!
