A Card for DAD

Thursday has come again quickly, spring cleaning made time just fly by!   This week we have a wonderful color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.

I love these soft colors together!  I think Basic Grey and Soft Sky look wonderful together to begin with.  Add in a little Sahara Sand and you have a gorgeous group of colors!  With Father's Day being the next holiday around the corner, I went with a card for Dad this week.

I used all new products for this card and I must say I LOVE THEM ALL!  The sentiment is from Work of Art and "DAD" is a new Photopolymer Alphabet called Metro Type.

The card base is Basic Gray with a layer of Moonlight Designer Series Paper.

The focal point is a layer of Whisper White on Sahara Sand.  I used the watercolor stamps from Work of Art to create a background with Sahara Sand and Soft Sky ink.  I stamped the sentiment with Basic Gray over the Soft Sky ink in the center.  I almost stopped there, but it looked too plain.  So, in comes Metro Type Alphabet.  Let me tell you, you are going to LOVE the photopolymer alphabets!  They are so easy to work with and have wonderful results.  For my card, I stamped the letters with Sahara Sand, cut them out and glued them on with Tombow Multi-Purpose adhesive.

I love how this week's card turned out and now it's your turn!  Grab your stamps and create with us this week!!  More details about the challenge as well as more fabulous cards from the Challenge Team are at Create with Connie and Mary.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Stamping!

What a great card using Work of Art stamp set and I love the idea of creating your own words with a new alphabet set! Love the angled panel too.
