It's Monday and time for the
Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge! Let's take a look at the great sketch Mary Jo has for us this week.
I wanted to use a set that I haven't tried out yet, so I pulled out the Sale-a-bration set Simply Wonderful.
I must admit, I struggled a little with the design of this card. I knew what I wanted to put in the half circle, but the rest was up in the air. I went to the fun Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper for color inspiration then just went with it!
I picked this fun pattern, love all the colors! From there the card started to really come together. I used a sentiment from Simply Wonderful then added more of the colors with the butterflies from Butterfly Basics. The ribbon is from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack from Sale-a-bration....love this pack of goodies! The last thing I ended up doing was adding speckles from Gorgeous Grunge on the So Saffron card base, it was looking too plain and needed a little something! I meant to add a couple of pearls to the butterflies, but got sidetracked and forgot...it happens at my house with three kids running around me! Love this. Those colors and the butterflies! Amazing use of the Simply Wonderful set--I have not used it yet. This card just makes me smile. Thanks so much for being on the TSSC team!
