Welcome to the CREATION STATION BLOG HOP! This month we are all about BIRTHDAYS!! There is a big movement going on in the Stampin' Up! world to bring back giving birthday cards otherwise known as #imbringingbirthdaysback. Stampin' Up! even came out with a stamp for us that is just awesome!! The stamp sold out in four hours flat so they have decided to make it available for the foreseeable future starting tomorrow! So, let's join the movement and check out some fabulous ideas and bring back sending birthday cards!!As you may know, BIRTHDAY BLOOMS is my current favorite set, so I have a few watercolor cards for you today!
This first card is watercolor with the blooms heat embossed in black. I used a couple of bold colors, Bermuda Bay and Cucumber Crush, for a stunning contrast.
Then I did just the opposite and used white embossed flowers with the bold colors Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. I love how beautiful these two colors are together!!
With both cards I layered on the color. I give a light color over the blooms then add in contrast by adding deeper color to areas.
Which card is your favorite, the Black heat embossed flowers...or the white?? I can't decide!

Nicole, your water coloring is beautiful! I struggle with this, so I really appreciate a job well done. Since you asked, I like the cucumber crush and bermuda bay card the best. The basic black accents really make those colors sing! Just lovely!!
Nicole these are so lovely!! I don't use cucumber crush much but I think you've inspired me! Great color combos! My vote is for the black embossed flowers, they stand out more! :) beautifully colored!
BEAUTIFUL (as usual!!) I just love the watercolor look (clearly amazing minds think alike!) and I love the contrast of the white vs. black that you showcased here!! Very, very pretty!!

Both are soooo pretty! Even thought I Usually like very high contrast in my color combo preferences, the white embossed card is my fave of these two. TFS!

While this stamp isn't one I like, it is very pretty. I just have never liked it. Your cards are beautiful! You did a wonderful job of making them. I wish I was as talented as you are. Thank you for sharing!
