Banners for You

There are SO MANY awesome new stamps, I am in creative overload right now!  Too many ideas floating through my head, I can't focus....lol!!  So today I am showing you a way to re-invent an idea and make it new.  First, let me show you the new stamp set I'm showcasing, BANNERS FOR YOU.

banners for you

This is yet another must have in my long list of items!  This BUNDLE is SO VERSATILE!  Many greeting to work with and banner framelits to match!  Can't go wrong with this one at all!  Now let's look at the card I have for you.

Birthday Blooms becreativewithnicole

I used just the banner and sentiments to add a greeting to my BIRTHDAY BLOOMS card.  You may remember I did a similar card HERE that you can check out.  I had a different sentiment on the first one.

The flowers are all embossed in black and colored with an aqua painter and ink pads.  The sentiment coordinates beautifully done in Cucumber Crush and Archival Black inks.  The coordinating framelit made it easy to stamp and add this to my card.

I kept it simple and just added the banner with SNAIL instead of dimensionals.  It blends perfectly into the card!

Birthday Blooms: Color Me Happy

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring stamps that require coloring.

SpringBlogHopBadge

I’ve gone back to a favorite of mine from the Occasions Catalog, BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.

Birthday Blooms becreativewithnicole

You may have noticed that I added in a couple more favorites, COTTAGE GREETINGS and the COTTAGE GREETINGS CARD KIT.  I am happy to say that COTTAGE GREETINGS is carrying over to the new catalog, but the card kit is not.  It's time for new kits, so I need to use up what I have left of this one!

Birthday Bloom becreativewithnicole.com

I heat embossed the bloom in white on watercolor paper then used an aqua painter to color it in.  I love the combo of Peekaboo Peach and Mossy Meadow, I so hate to see that beautiful green retire!  I fussy cut the flower and added it to the card with dimensionals.  The card itself is all built from supplies in the card kit.  I think the wood paper looks gorgeous with the Peekaboo Peach and Mossy Meadow flower.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff, the supply list!

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS:   Birthday Blooms, Cottage Greetings

INKS:  Peekaboo Peach, Mossy Meadow, Versa Mark, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

PAPER: Cottage Greetings Card Kit, Watercolor, Whisper White

More Birthday Blooms

Let's go back to my favorite set BIRTHDAY BLOOMS today.  I have a card from a few weeks ago that I haven't shared yet because I totally forgot about it!

Daffodil Delight Birthday

This was one of the many, many cards I made with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS for the Luv2Stamp Group.  I was the official birthday card maker for February and March so I ended up making and mailing out 30 birthday cards!

saffron birthday blooms

With this card, I went all out and stamped multiple flowers on the card front to make my own pattern of designer paper.  I used alcohol markers to color the blooms and add shadowing.  Since there was so much going on with the background, the sentiment is plain and simple.  However, I couldn't resist adding a little bling by using silver thread and sequins.

Daffodil Delight Birthday

As usual the envelope is stamped to coordinate.  I love how many ways this stamp set can be used!  The main image is so versatile, it can be the background or the focal point!

If you have been enjoying my alternate ideas with the March My Paper Pumpkin kit, you should subscribe!  Stampin’ Up! is celebrating the 3 year birthday of Paper Pumpkin by giving an extra, yes I said EXTRA, stamp set in the April Kit!  Now is the time to take action if you haven’t tried these awesome kits yet!

Congrats Grad

I've been having lots of fun working with the March My Paper Pumpkin Kit! This weekend I gave you ideas for a tea cup card and a set of tags.  Today I have another card to share combining the kit with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.

March My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

This time I kept with more of the look that the kit intended.  I used the speckled paper for the card front and added the sentiment.

March Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

The background has Soft Sky Birthday Blooms stamped at the top of the bottom like I did with this card from last week.

My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

And as always, I stamped the envelope to coordinate with the card.  Wouldn't this be an elegant way to say congratulations to the graduate in your life!

Birthday Blooms Meets Paper Pumpkin

For the last birthday card for the Luv2Stamp Group (card #30 to be exact!), I needed a little inspiration!  So I looked to the March My Paper Pumpkin kit.

MPP Birthday Bloom becreativewithnicole

Isn't this fun!  I started out with the card base that came with the kit...love the speckled look it has!  I stamped a couple the flowers from BIRTHDAY BLOOMS with Pool Party ink to create a soft background.

March MPP 2016 becreativewithnicole

For the sentiment, I used the supplies in the kit.  The floral paper is BEAUTIFUL!!  I added the "happy, happy" from the stamps in the kit plus "birthday" from CRAZY ABOUT YOU.  To make "birthday" stand out, I stamped it in Cucumber Crush.

Birthday Blooms MPP 2016 becreativewithnicole

To finish off the card, I added a small flower using the ITTY BITTY ACCENTS PUNCH PACK.  The center of the flower has one of the green pearls from the kit.....love how it all coordinates!  And of course I stamped the envelope as usual....can't send it out with a plain envelope!

Let me ask you something....are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet??  If you are then woo hoo for you!  If not, what are you waiting for??

Stampin' Up! is celebrating the 3 year birthday of Paper Pumpkin by giving an extra, yes I said EXTRA stamp set in the April Kit!  Now is the time to take action if you haven't tried these awesome kits yet!  The March kit is just amazing, I am just getting started with it and will have lots of alternative ideas to share.

Birthday Blooms for #GDP028

Happy Easter!  Today I have a really quick share for you.  I have one more card for this week's challenge from the Global Design Project.  I used my favorite stamp set BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.

Birthday Blooms #GDP028 becreativewithnicole

I had already made a card for the challenge using Picture Perfect, but I needed inspiration for a birthday card.  So this challenge was the perfect motivation for me!  I have made tons of cards with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS for the Luv2Stamp Group.  As I am nearing the end of my list of birthdays, I am seriously running out of ideas!  One look at the layout of this week's challenge and I knew exactly what I wanted to make!

GDP028 Jess Williams CASE

I used a similar layout and color palette.  But this time I used washi tape as one of my design elements.

Birthday blooms close up becreativewithnicole

I love the bold black and white stripes with Calypso Coral!  I used alcohol markers to color the flowers then added a birthday sentiment.

Birthday Blooms becreativewithnicole

I just love how the coral pops with the bit of black and the soft Sahara Sand card base.  This turned out better than I expected...love when that happens!!

Have a Cuppa Thanks

Today I'm combining my favorite set BIRTHDAY BLOOMS with A NICE CUPPA for a shabby chic inspired Thank You card.

Birthday Bloom Thank you

My inspiration came from a new source, the Global Design Project.  This week's challenge #GDP027 was to create a Thank You card.

GDP027 Thank you

As you know, BIRTHDAY BLOOMS is my favorite set right now so it was a no brainer to include it in my design.  But this time is took backstage to the tea cup from the CUPS & KETTLE FRAMELITS.

Cuppa by becreativewithnicole.com

Here you can see the lightly stamped Birthday Blooms flowers on the card base.  I added a doily then the tea cup so it would stand out more.  I went with the shabby chic theme that came from using the beautiful BIRTHDAY BOUQUET DSP.  Every time I look at the beautiful floral patterns in this set of paper I am reminded of my Grammy's house full of antiques and china.

Birthday Bloom Thank you

This card has definitely inspired me to do more with the A NICE CUPPA BUNDLE.  I think it just might be the next favorite of mine!
