Lovely Anniversary

My In Laws have an big deal anniversary coming up so I sat down today and created a card for them using Forever Lovely.

I wanted a little bit of everything from the All My Love Suite on this card.  The All My Love Designer Series Paper comes in a strip of color along the left side.  I also added in a tiny bit of bling with the white glimmer paper from the Magic & Myths Glimmer paper on the clearance rack.

The sentiment is so gorgeous in Lovely Lipstick.  Lately this has most definitely become one of my favorite and most used inks.  The die cuts from the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies add more color and dimension.  I love how beautiful all the products melt together and create an amazing look.  Did you notice the bit of sentiment cut out on Flirty Flamingo card stock?  This is from the Well Said Bundle on page 27.  Since this is an anniversary card, I wanted to change up the original sentiment to include the word anniversary.  Well Said is just the set and I must say that this bundle is a must have!!!

I did embellish the inside of the card.  As I said earlier, this is a pretty big deal, it's a 60th anniversary!  So I pulled out a retired set, Milestone Moments to add in the sentiment for the inside.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and are inspired to do some creating yourself!  You can shop any time in my online store for products to create cards of your own.  And right now with Sale-a-bration going on, you can earn FREE products!  For every $50 you get something free or you can get a bigger FREE product with $100 purchase.  Now is a great time to get some goodies, just click on the shopping link below!

Banners for You

There are SO MANY awesome new stamps, I am in creative overload right now!  Too many ideas floating through my head, I can't focus....lol!!  So today I am showing you a way to re-invent an idea and make it new.  First, let me show you the new stamp set I'm showcasing, BANNERS FOR YOU.

banners for you

This is yet another must have in my long list of items!  This BUNDLE is SO VERSATILE!  Many greeting to work with and banner framelits to match!  Can't go wrong with this one at all!  Now let's look at the card I have for you.

Birthday Blooms becreativewithnicole

I used just the banner and sentiments to add a greeting to my BIRTHDAY BLOOMS card.  You may remember I did a similar card HERE that you can check out.  I had a different sentiment on the first one.

Banners for You becreativewithnicole

The flowers are all embossed in black and colored with an aqua painter and ink pads.  The sentiment coordinates beautifully done in Cucumber Crush and Archival Black inks.  The coordinating framelit made it easy to stamp and add this to my card.

I kept it simple and just added the banner with SNAIL instead of dimensionals.  It blends perfectly into the card!

Mossy Meadow

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the In Colors that will be retiring soon.  Today’s color is MOSSY MEADOW!

SpringBlogHopBadge

Since I just got new stamps this week, I had to use one of those sets!  One of the biggies that was on my wish list was NUMBER OF YEARS.

Number of Years becreativewithnicole

I think this is just the most useful stamp set!!  Think of all the things you can do with these numbers and all the fabulous sentiments to go with them!

For this card, I got an early start on my anniversary card.  This fall will be 15 years and my husband's favorite color is dark green, so this was a no brainer!

Mossy Meadow Number of Years

To make Mossy Meadow the main color, I used it for the card base and the background for the numbers.  For a pop of color, Calypso Coral was the perfect choice.  It goes so beautifully with the deep Mossy Meadow.

Blooming Anniversary

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is TOGETHER FOREVER so we are sharing WEDDING AND ANNIVERSARY cards.

Since I've been working with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS I went ahead and did a beautiful water color anniversary card.

BIRTHDAY BLOOM becreativewithnicole.com

I heat embossed the small flowers in white all over then did an abstract water color over the whole card.

Anniversary Blooms

I didn't keep within any of the lines, I wanted the messy water color look to fill the entire card front.  I went back after the first layer of color was dry and added darker shading.  All of it was done with my aqua painter and my ink pads.

Birthday Bloom Anniversary

For the sentiment, I looked to the hostess set HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EVERYONE.  This set is meant for birthdays, but I love the sentiment "to my darling" and thought is was perfect for this card.  I heat embossed the words in white on Blushing Bride cardstock to add over top of the water color.  For a little bling, silver thread and sequins were added.

Now let's get to the supply list so you can re-create your own BIRTHDAY BLOOMS water color card.

SUPPLIES:

STAMPS: Birthday Blooms, Happy Birthday Everyone

INKS:  Versamark, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz

PAPER:  Watercolor paper, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz

ACCESSORIES:  White embossing powder, embossing buddy, heat tool, Aqua Painter, metallic sequins, Silver Metallic thread, dimensionals, Tombow multipurpose adhesive, SNAIL, paper snips,

Last MPP Cards

I have the last two cards to share made with the October My Paper Pumpkin kit.  I've had SO MUCH FUN with this kit and can't wait to see what November's looks like!  The first card is a thank you card that features the EXPRESSIONS NATURAL ELEMENTS.

Thanks Oct MPP becreativewithnicole.com

I love these natural element embellishments, they add great dimension to cards and projects.  I used mostly the kit for this card, keeping the stamping in the background on the neutral side.

The second card is yet another anniversary card, less floral and more woodsy.

MPP becreativewithnicole.com

I am really loving Mossy Meadow right now, it worked beautifully with the dijon banner.  I used a retired sentiment again, but I love how it fit neatly in the banner and the script is pretty!

So that's it for the October kit from me this month.  I am SUPER looking forward to November's kit to see what we get!  To see the past cards made with the October kit, just click on the links below.

More Paper Pumpkin Cards

I'm back today with a couple more ideas for the October My Paper Pumpkin kit.  As with the other cards, I have used bits and pieces of the kit combined with other products.

October MPP Collage

This is one design with slight differences.

MPP alternate idea becreativewithnicole.com

This is the first one I did.  I kept the card base simple, just embossed large polka dots on Sahara Sand.  The floral paper from the kit really stands out against this soft color.

The sentiment is retired (Good Greetings), but I used it since it worked perfectly for my idea.  I love the banners from the kit and thought these two greetings with a heart in between would be sweet for an anniversary card.  In fact, it's the card I'm giving my husband for our 14 year anniversary on Sunday.

MPP alternate card 2 becreativewithnicole.com

For the second card, I used different colors but the same design.  The Pool Party card base looks so pretty with the Sahara Sand.  I used the same sentiments but changed up the color of the banner.  I think both are beautiful, which is your favorite??  Curious about the supplies I used, just check the list below!

Anniversary Paper Pumpkin Card

I have a fun card today that was quick and easy to make thanks to the October My Paper Pumpkin.

October My Paper Pumpkin anniversary by becreativewithnicole.com

Isn't this cute!  I changed this particular card design just a bit from the original.  I need an anniversary card, so I used a retired sentiment stamp in place of the one from the kit.  I also changed from linen thread behind the sentiment to gold.

You can see the kit and the original designs in this quick video from Stampin' Up!

Aren't these cards so pretty!  I've only had a chance to make the one card, but I love how pretty this stamp set is and it's versatile too!

October MPP Anniversary close up

In this close up, you can see the stamping I did in Smokey Slate.  The kit comes with Basic Gray, but I like the lighter gray on this card.

I look forward to trying out more designs with this kit.  It's nice to be able to create without too much thinking, I just get to stamp!
