Barn Door Meets Happy Birthday Gorgeous

The Barn Door Bundle has some wonderful greetings as you saw in last week's post.  But sometimes I like to mix things up add in different stamp sets.  In today's card I used sentiments and flowers from the beautiful stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

What a fun birthday card to give!  It has a both sentiments on the front of the card so the inside has plenty of room for writing a note.

This card was actually inspired by the February My Paper Pumpkin.  If you look closely, you can see the card base and the card front are from the kit.  I loved the subtle striped design plus it was easy!  The pieces were ready to go!

I hope you give this idea a try and do a little mixing and matching with your stamp sets...including My Paper Pumpkin!

March is the 5 year anniversary for My Paper Pumpkin!  If you haven't given the monthly program a try yet, what's holding you up!!!  You get a ready to go kit each month that lets you craft without planning or thinking....all the work is done for you!  And since the March kit marks 5 years, there is a special box and gift included!  Sign up by March 10th, this is the perfect time to give it a try!  Click here to learn more and subscribe!

Party Hat

I love things that shimmer and today's card is chock full of it!  I pulled out the June My Paper Pumpkin kit again last night and created a birthday card with the contents.  This time the card showcases the kit and how fun it is to work with.

Paper Pumpkin June 2016 becreativewithnicole

Instead of a banner, I made a party hat with a cello triangle.  Can I just tell you how much I LOVE the sequins from this kit??  Actually, I really love all the contents of this kit and I haven't tried them all!  There are still gold letters that I haven't even touched yet!

June 2016 MPP

The whole thing was easy to put together.  But let me give you a tip.  I decided to emboss the sentiment in gold at the last minute so it would coordinate with the card better.  Well, the problem was I had already put the cello hat on.  When I heat embossed the heat from the heat gun started to melt the cello a bit at the top despite my efforts not to!  So if you want to make this card, emboss first, then add the hat!  The hat was quite simple to make.  Just pour in a bunch of sequins then seal the triangle shut with the washi tape from the kit.  Once that was done, I cut a piece of gold shimmer paper with fringe scissors and added it the the bottom with tear tape to give the hat sparkle.  When attaching the hat to the card, I only used tear tape at the bottom where the glimmer paper can hide it and at the top over and under the bit of fringe.  Even though that's not much adhesive, the hat stays in place nicely.

I hope you will give this card a try, so much fun to make!  I still have a few more ideas for the June kit, so be sure to come back and see what I've come up with.

Sweet Cupcake

I am so excited, I finally got a chance to open up and use the My Paper Pumpkin from last month!  I have been so busy with all the new stamps in the catalog that the kit got forgotten!  So what I ended up doing was combining new stamps with it so I could have the best of both worlds.

Sweet Cupcake becreativewithnicole.com

This striped cardstock from the kit is AWESOME!  I went with more muted colors for my cupcake since the stripes are white and Tip Top Taupe.  And take a look at how fantastic Gold Foil Paper looks against the stripes!

Sweet cupcake becreativewithnicole

The cupcake from SWEET CUPCAKE is so much fun to create!  You get to stamp three layers of color to get the cool realistic look.  The cupcake liner was stamped with So Saffron and Sahara Sand while the frosting was all Blushing Bride.

Sweet Cupcake becreativewithnicole.com

I also added in a couple of extras from the MPP kit, the sequins and baker's twine.  I also added a bit of gold foil to the envelope.  The coordinating CUPCAKE CUTOUTS FRAMELITS have some really great die cuts, the swirly that I put on the envelope is my favorite!

Alright, that's it for me today!  A quick look at the My Paper Pumpkin from last month before the next one arrives!  I will hopefully get a chance to do more tonight to share with you!

Annual Catalog International Blog Hop

June International Blog Hop

Welcome to the Annual Catalog International Blog Hop!  I feel so privileged to be included in such a talented group of stampers!  You may be coming from Sylvia's fabulous blog or just starting out here in the USA.  Either way, enjoy yourself as you visit bloggers from all over the globe.  We have lots of amazing ideas for you featuring NEW products!  So sit back and have fun traveling along with us today!

Foxy Friends by becreativewithnicole.com

I sat down with a super fun new bundle and had oodles of fun!  FOXY FRIENDS is a mix and match type of stamp set, you have tons of ways to use it!  To make it even cooler there is a coordinating punch!

Foxy FriendsI did several cards, two of which showcase the coordinating designer paper stack called A LITTLE FOXY.

Foxy Friends becreativewithnicole

My favorite of the three is a penny slider card that couldn't be more fun!  I designed this one first....by accident!  I had been working on slider cards with the SHOOTING STAR bundle and thought it would be fun to do a FOXY FRIENDS slider too.  The SLIDING STAR FRAMELITS make the process SUPER EASY!  After the slider portion was ready, I stamped a cute skunk and added a few final details.

Foxy Friends

The second card was quite quick and is perfect for giving a little note to someone special.  It's only 3"x3" so it would be perfect for using up scraps of designer paper and cardstock.  This time the critter I created was a cute little racoon.  He's holding a heart to coordinate with the sentiment that I used from last month's My Paper Pumpkin.

Foxy Friends becreativewithnicole.com

And last but not least, a cute little fox in the forest.  A Soft Sky card base measuring 3"x 6" forms the background for the scene.  Mint Macaroon grass and trees give the fox a place to hang out.  I went back and forth about the sentiment and finally decided on birthday.  I used the sweet birthday greeting from BALLOON CELEBRATION because of the lovely handwritten script.  It's delicate and beautiful and stamped in black is a nice contrast to the lighter colors.

So, now you have three new ideas for using this fantastic new FOXY FRIENDS BUNDLE!  How about more ideas????  Well, check out the list below and visit all the blogs to see the amazing ideas to be had!  Thanks for visiting, have fun hopping around!

Congrats Grad

I've been having lots of fun working with the March My Paper Pumpkin Kit! This weekend I gave you ideas for a tea cup card and a set of tags.  Today I have another card to share combining the kit with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.

March My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

This time I kept with more of the look that the kit intended.  I used the speckled paper for the card front and added the sentiment.

March Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

The background has Soft Sky Birthday Blooms stamped at the top of the bottom like I did with this card from last week.

My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

And as always, I stamped the envelope to coordinate with the card.  Wouldn't this be an elegant way to say congratulations to the graduate in your life!

Spring Flowers

Creation Station header

Welcome to the April Creation Station Blog Hop!  Now that spring is officially here, we thought you'd love to see ideas featuring SPRING FLOWERS and the BOTANICAL BLOOMS BUNDLE.  Since I've been all about the March My Paper Pumpkin lately, I made a fun project for you featuring it and the BOTANICAL BUILDERS FRAMELITS.

Paper Pumpkin tag box and card becreativewithnicole.com

Yesterday, I used the same collection of colors that coordinate beautifully with the March My Paper Pumpkin.  I carried that theme over to today and made a card and set of tags that would make a perfect hostess gift!

Botanical Builder becreativewithnicole.com

First let's talk about the box of tags.  I came up with 6 tags for you but I didn't want to just show you the tags, I wanted a box to give them in.  The first thing that came to mind was to the oh so easy TAG A BAG GIFT BOXES!  These boxes are super easy to put together and make a fabulous gift with little effort!  I simply created a belly band to decorate the clear sleeve (I used a part of the MPP kit!) and added a flower. What could be simpler!

Tags My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole.com

Now, let's talk TAGS!  These little guys came together in a flash!  I sat down with the MPP kit and a few punches and they practically made themselves!  I used different bits and pieces of the kit to give variety.  The SCALLOPED TAG TOPPER PUNCH came in handy as well as the BANNER TRIPLE PUNCH.  And of course, we can't forget about the BOTANICAL BUILDER FRAMELITS!  Here's a quick tip for saving time, get the colors of cardstock that you are focusing on and go ahead and die cut a bunch of flowers all at once.  When you are creating this gives you the opportunity to try out different color combinations and looks.  Anything that is left over can be easily used on another card or project!

Tags becreativewithnicole.com

I also used the 1 1/4" CIRCLE PUNCH for sentiments.  You may notice that I used the My Paper Pumpkin stamp set for all the tags.  The simple greetings make great tags!

Tags2 becreativewithnicole.com

I also added in the gorgeous POOL PARTY GLITTER RIBBON.  It was a great finishing touch for my tags!

Tags3 becreativewithnicole.com

I also added in the green pearls from the MPP kit and WHITE PERFECT ACCENTS for the center of my flowers.

Paper Pumpkin tag box and card becreativewithnicole.com

Every gift needs a card, so I created a card with the CUPS & KETTLE FRAMELITS and more bits and pieces of the My Paper Pumpkin kit.  The card coordinates beautifully since I used the floral paper on the card to tie it all together.

Let me ask you something….are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet??  If you are then woo hoo for you!  If not, what are you waiting for??
