Sunburst Sayings for Graduation

May is here and so is GRADUATION.  I have some great ideas for you to say congratulations to friends and family in a very sparkly way!

graduation cards becreativewithnicole

I told you these cards sparkled!  There's lots of bling going on here to celebrate the big day!

Sunburst Sayings1 becreativewithnicole

The first card is the one I shared the other day that I made for my Dad's birthday.  I patterned the others after this one, just changed up the sentiments.

On this one I used a retired set from last year, Hooray it's Your Day.  This particular sentiment really fit the bill for what I needed.

Sunburst Sayings3 becreativewithnicole.com

The final card has another retired sentiment.  I used Perfect Pairings, it has a great bold "Congrats" in the set that says it all!

All three cards have the same design, just different sayings.  This is an easy template for any type of event you need.  Just change up the greeting and add as much bling as you like!

Speaking of bling, I've been working on my card set for the May Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary.

Congrats Grad

I've been having lots of fun working with the March My Paper Pumpkin Kit! This weekend I gave you ideas for a tea cup card and a set of tags.  Today I have another card to share combining the kit with BIRTHDAY BLOOMS.

March My Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

This time I kept with more of the look that the kit intended.  I used the speckled paper for the card front and added the sentiment.

March Paper Pumpkin becreativewithnicole

The background has Soft Sky Birthday Blooms stamped at the top of the bottom like I did with this card from last week.

And as always, I stamped the envelope to coordinate with the card.  Wouldn't this be an elegant way to say congratulations to the graduate in your life!

Card "Create"tions Celebrations Week 2 Saturday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Week 2 Blog Hop, I am so excited you are here!  You should be arriving from Melissa Davie's awesome blog Rubberfunatics, wasn't here project great!!!  Be sure to hop all the way around, you don't want to miss a thing!!

http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/

For Week Two, I used Adventure Awaits for my card set.  I love the fabulous bold greetings, this set is perfect for both cards and scrapbooking....fun favors and projects too!!  With graduation being around the corner, I went in that direction and made a small gift and card.

Don't these sentiments fit graduation perfectly??!!  Their adventure awaits, so why not give them a journal to record it in?

The Kraft Grid Journals from the Annual Catalog are such a great size!  Perfect for a pocket or purse.   What better way to record your goals or thoughts when you are out on an adventure!  To make this bold journal, I first stamped Gorgeous Grunge on the cover in Memento Tuxedo Black.  A piece of map from Typeset is added with adhesive and washi.  Lastly, a bold adventurous greeting heat embossed and grunged up makes the journal complete.

I could have stopped with the journal, but what about telling the graduate how proud you are??  So I created a pocket card with the same map paper and the Mini Treat Bag.  I mimicked the journal and did another bold sentiment heat embossed and grunged up.

The card inside has yet another bold sentiment, the Class of 2015 a la carte set from the Occasions Catalog.  I wanted a little more detail, so I added in "So proud of you" from Crazy About You....now I'm happy!!  This unique card will make any graduate smile!!  You could even pop a gift card in there to make them smile bigger!!

Now, off to another adventure, the next blog!!!  It's time to pay a visit to Debbie Henderson's awesome blog Debbie's Designs to see the fabulous idea she has for us today!

A Shaker for the Graduate!

Ok, how about one more shaker card??  I figured we might as well squeeze one more in this week!!  Today's combines a couple of great stamp sets to create a fun shaker for graduation.

What graduate wouldn't love this bold shaker???  Even better is the awesome message inside from Adventure Awaits.

I have been working with Adventure Awaits a lot over the past week or so, it's the card set I created for Week Two of Card "Create"tions Celebrations for Create with Connie and Mary (it went live today!).  I love the bold larger than life greetings.  This one in particular is perfect for graduation cards or scrapbooking.

The shaker portion is formed the same as the card on Wednesday with vellum and washi tape.  The sentiment in the center is from Blue Ribbon on page 136 of the main catalog.  I layered the sentiment with a bold Basic Black starburst and added the congratulations tails.   A couple of Silver Foil stars make the card complete.

I hope that all my shakers this week have motivated you to give them a try!!!  These flat shakers are perfect for mailing and so easy to make!!

For more graduations ideas, be sure to stop back tomorrow for the Saturday Blog Hop for Card "Create"tions Celebrations.  I am featuring Adventure Awaits and I know you will love this great gift idea!  Until next time, Happy Stamping!!!

Congrats Grad for TSSC309

It's Monday and time for a new Sketch Challenge from Mary Jo at Tehnostamper.  Before I show you my card, lets look at the sketch.

I have been wanting to get some graduation cards made and knew this was the perfect sketch to use.

I was going for elegant and simple.....who doesn't love that!  The card base is Basic Black with a layer of the printed window sheet from Quatrefancy DSP.

The focal area of the card is several layers.  Gold Foil paper is layered behind the sentiments that are stamped on Whisper White card stock with StazOn Black ink.  The first sentiment "congrats Grad" is from Blue Ribbon and the other is from Pure Gumption.

Last touch is a few gold sequins scattered around the card.

This was a wonderful sketch to work with, I hope you will try it out for yourself!  You can find all the details about the challenge and more great cards at Technostamper.

Sue Root:  Stampin' With Sue2

Robbie Rubula: InkedX2
