Card "Create"tions Celebrations Week 2 Saturday Blog Hop!

For Week Two, I used Adventure Awaits for my card set.  I love the fabulous bold greetings, this set is perfect for both cards and scrapbooking....fun favors and projects too!!  With graduation being around the corner, I went in that direction and made a small gift and card.

Don't these sentiments fit graduation perfectly??!!  Their adventure awaits, so why not give them a journal to record it in?

The Kraft Grid Journals from the Annual Catalog are such a great size!  Perfect for a pocket or purse.   What better way to record your goals or thoughts when you are out on an adventure!  To make this bold journal, I first stamped Gorgeous Grunge on the cover in Memento Tuxedo Black.  A piece of map from Typeset is added with adhesive and washi.  Lastly, a bold adventurous greeting heat embossed and grunged up makes the journal complete.

I could have stopped with the journal, but what about telling the graduate how proud you are??  So I created a pocket card with the same map paper and the Mini Treat Bag.  I mimicked the journal and did another bold sentiment heat embossed and grunged up. 

The card inside has yet another bold sentiment, the Class of 2015 a la carte set from the Occasions Catalog.  I wanted a little more detail, so I added in "So proud of you" from Crazy About You....now I'm happy!!  This unique card will make any graduate smile!!  You could even pop a gift card in there to make them smile bigger!!

Card "Create"tions Celebrations Preview Week is Here!

Yay!!  Preview Week is here!!  I am super excited about the new Card "Create"tions Collection from Create with Connie and Mary!  Each day this week we have a preview card for you and there is BLOG CANDY and FREE TUTORIALS as well!!!

I have a fun little treat bag to share today that actually matches my card from yesterday.  I used For Being You and Stacked with Love Designer Paper Stack.

The paper from the designer paper stacks doesn't quite fit the Mini Treat Bag thinlet, but I made due.  I used two of the smaller side to piece together the back.  With the design of paper that I used, this method worked out fine.

For the front, I cut a banner with the striped paper and added a few embellishments.  The sentiment was stamped on a starburst of Calypso Coral.  I used painter's tape to mask off the particular words that I wanted to use and stacked them on the paper.  Next to it I added a Crisp Cantaloupe heart from the strip of hearts thinlet in the set.  I popped it up with a little piece of dimensional.  Underneath the starburst is the the Crisp Cantaloupe hearts in a row.  All of the items are adhered to the bag, but I decorated a cute little clothes pin to add to the top.  A small heart design from the paper stack was glued to the top of the clip with Tombow.  I love how coordinated it makes the bag to have that last little touch.

Doesn't this make a fun set!! I just love coordinating little gifts and cards like this.  The bag is such a great compliment to the card with it's polka dot design and striped banner.  You can see all of the details about the card HERE if you missed it.

Spring Collection Week 3 Blog Hop!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's the end of week 3 already!! I am having SO much fun with this collection, I hope you are too!!  This week was all about cards, so we are doing a small favor for today's hop.  Be sure to travel all the way through, you don't want to miss anything!!  You should be arriving from Melissa's blog, she had the most beautiful set of cards this week!  You can click on the Spring Collection badge below to go to Create with Connie and Mary and find out all the details about the Spring Collection 2015.  I hope you'll join us!

Now, onto my little treat for today.  I made my card set with Guy Greetings.  I have enjoyed this set so much and really glad I picked it!  Masculine cards can be a challenge, but I had no problem with all of the wonderful stamps in this set.

I wanted to make a fun but quick treat that any guy would love to get.  So, in comes the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet to make my life easy!  I cannot say enough how much I love this thinlet set!!  So many possibilities, it's mind boggling!  Anyway, I put together a treat bag with the Typeset Designer Series Paper.  It was super quick and so was the tag to match.

I made my own tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and Very Vanilla cardstock.  A strip of designer paper along the bottom keeps the tag from blending into the treat bag.  I added a sentiment and mustache die cut (love it!) plus a little chevron ribbon at the top.  Clipped it to the bag with a mini clothespin and it's done!  Easy peasy!

I decided I wanted to put more than just treats in the bag, so I made a card insert to attach a gift card to.  Perfect gift, who doesn't love a little chocolate and some money to spend??

The insert was quick and easy as well.  It measures 3 1/2" x 5" and consists of two layers, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  Added a sentiment and tag and it was done in a flash.  The tag to pull the insert out is just the banner thinlet that comes with the Mini Treat Bag.  I folded it in half and attached to the top.  Early on, my plan was to make this simply a gift card holder.  So I decorated an envelope for it.  YES....bonus....it fits in our envelopes!  This could easily be put through the mail, I would just omit the clip and adhere the tag directly to the treat bag.  Speaking of the tag, since it comes off of the treat bag, wouldn't it make a nice little bookmark??  Always thinking.....

Mini Treat Bag

I have to say that I really LOVE the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlet in the Occasions Catalog.  It was one of the first items on my wish list and I am soooo glad I got it!  There are endless ways to use this bag and today I am going to share one.

This treat was inspired by a bag of Berry flavored Skittles that was sitting on my counter.  I looked at it and thought of Rich Razzleberry.  So down I went to my craft room and whipped up a cute little treat bag with Rich Razzleberry designer paper.

I embellished the front of the bag with some of the extra thinlets in the set.  I think the borders are great, especially since they can be used two ways.  I added the actual heart border to the bottom of the bag then scattered the hearts around the top. I love the look of the Pink Pirouette and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the richness of Rich Razzleberry.

I think the next thing with this thinlet that I will tackle is the cute box that Connie Babbert came up with.  She has a tutorial HERE if you'd like to give it a go too!
