More Birthday Blooms!

Are you ready for even more BIRTHDAY BLOOMS cards???  Well, I have several to share with you this week.  As I've said before this is a MUST HAVE!!!  I have done embossed blooms colored with markers or water color this week.  I think you'll enjoy these ideas....let's get started!

Pink Birthday Bloom becreativewithnicole.com

This one is my bloom in BLUSHING BRIDE.  I made this card for my FABULOUS upline PATTY BENNETT.  What a phenomenal leader and inspiration!  She sent me this set to make birthday cards for our Luv2Stamp group and I feel very blessed!

This particular bloom was embossed in white and colored with alcohol markers.  I love the bloom in soft pink and green.

I love the background too, it's a beautiful design from coordinating BIRTHDAY BOUQUET DSP.  The soft speckles made a lovely base for the bloom.  And I had to include an appropriate sentiment.  "You are Amazing" pretty much sums it up!  It can be found in one of my favorite sets from the main catalog, COTTAGE GREETINGS.

I hope you enjoyed this lovely card and get inspired to make your own!  You can click on the products below to find out more information and order.

Perfectly Artistic Bloom

I have yet another BIRTHDAY BLOOMS card for you today, but this one's a little different.  I used the gorgeous PERFECTLY ARTISTIC designer paper from Sale-a-bration for the bloom.

DSP Birthday Bloom becreativewithnicole

Isn't this fabulous!!  I love the bloom paper pieced with the designer paper, so pretty!  This idea came as a result of one of the challenges for this month's Creative Crew.  We were to use the PERFECTLY ARTISTIC DSP on a thank you card.

Birthday Bloom Perfectly Artistic

To give more life to the blossom, I stamped it on the Whisper White card front then added a paper pieced bloom on top with dimensionals.  I only paper pieced the large blossom and leaves, the smaller leaves and buds were on the card front.

Lastly, I added a sentiment from COTTAGE GREETINGS.  This is a perfect match for BIRTHDAY BLOOMS as the font is similar.

Paper piecing this flower was so much fun, I hope you'll give it a try for yourself!

Last MPP Cards

I have the last two cards to share made with the October My Paper Pumpkin kit.  I've had SO MUCH FUN with this kit and can't wait to see what November's looks like!  The first card is a thank you card that features the EXPRESSIONS NATURAL ELEMENTS.

Thanks Oct MPP becreativewithnicole.com

I love these natural element embellishments, they add great dimension to cards and projects.  I used mostly the kit for this card, keeping the stamping in the background on the neutral side.

The second card is yet another anniversary card, less floral and more woodsy.

I am really loving Mossy Meadow right now, it worked beautifully with the dijon banner.  I used a retired sentiment again, but I love how it fit neatly in the banner and the script is pretty!

So that's it for the October kit from me this month.  I am SUPER looking forward to November's kit to see what we get!  To see the past cards made with the October kit, just click on the links below.

How About a Simple Card Today??

I did lots of shaker cards last week, some were more work than others.  I needed a break, so today I went with super clean and simple.  My inspiration?? Well, Freshly Made Sketches had a fabulous sketch, so I ran with it!

Indescribable Gift is a gorgeous stamp set, one which has sat on my shelf waiting patiently to be used.  It turned out to be the best set for this card, I love how soft and pretty it is.

Gorgeous don't you think!  It has a soft focus sort of look that I just love.  But I do have a confession to make........ I used my blendabilities to color this image.  I just had to, I bought this set with them in mind.

The clouds around the blossoms are my favorite little touch.  This was done easily with Soft Sky ink and a stampin' sponge.  Just die cut the cloud shaped word bubble and sponge around lightly for a beautiful cloudy sky.

As far as the sentiment goes, I kept it super simple as well.  I wanted it to be small so the blossoms kept the main focus.   I searched through all my sentiments and found that the "Thank You" from Something to Say was a great fit with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.

Sometimes it's nice to go in a different direction than normal. I haven't done a colored image like this in awhile, so it was a great change of pace!  Tomorrow I will be back with a bolder card that I am so excited to share with you, I love how cool it turned out!  SO, plan on stopping back for a visit, you've gotta check it out!

Until next time, Happy Stamping!!

Spring Collection Week One Blog Hop!

Wow!! Hard to believe week one of the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary is coming to an end.  I have really enjoyed all of the Sale-a-bration projects that were featured.  We have a fun blog hop today to share cards made with products we used all week.

http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/

You should be arriving from Melissa's fabulous blog, I just love all of her cards!!  My card features Best Year Ever, one of the sets that I used for my project.

I love how cute this card turned out!  It's not hard to come up with ideas when there are so many fabulous Sale-a-bration products to work with.  The Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper has a beautiful group of colors that are truly inspiring!

The card base is Coastal Cabana with a fun tulip style paper design.  The sentiment is two layers, the bottom was cut with a circle framelit and the sentiment is cut with a starburst framelit.

The inside also has designer paper, I love this bohek inspired design.  I stamped a sentiment on the right side and a few flowers along the bottom center.  The sentiment on the circle is from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.  I cut four layers in Coastal Cabana and stacked them using a glue pen for adhesive.  This gives the sentiment a bit of dimension and makes it pop a little.  Lastly, I added a few In Color sequins, I can't have a card without any sparkle!

I hope you have enjoyed my card today!! There are lots more to see on the hop!! Debbie Henderson is your next stop, you will love what she's made!

Thanks!

Wow!  Thursday came around fast again this week!  My little guy had a blast on his birthday Tuesday and loved the Calling All Heroes card that I shared that day.  Today I have a card to share for the color challenge this week from Create with Connie and Mary.  Let's look at the colors first.

I love this combination, the bright colors with the grey, not something I use a lot.

One of the things I have been wanting to try is water coloring with the decorative masks.  So, I decided to make a simple and fun card with Basic Grey polka dots in the background.  I started with a Bermuda Bay card base and a layer of Basic Grey cardstock as a very thin matting for the watercolor paper.

The first element I added to the watercolor paper was the polka dots.  I used my aqua painter and Basic Grey ink pad with a decorative mask.  I varied the intensity of the color to give more of a watercolor feel.  Once the polka dots were in place, I used Tangelo Twist to add stars all over the paper.  I used the itty bitty star stamp from July's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I love the bold splash of color from the stars, just the balance the card needed!

Next element was the sentiment which came from the July Paper Pumpkin as well.  I stamped it in black to make it stand out more from the grey.

To add a little extra something, I put Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine under the sentiment and added a border around the paper with my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write marker.

I love the soft look of the card with the little bolder elements, a very fun card to put together!  Now it's your turn!  Pull out your stamps and paper and join the challenge with me.  You can find all the details plus more great samples at Create with Connie and Mary.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Stamping!
