Perfectly Artistic Bloom

I have yet another BIRTHDAY BLOOMS card for you today, but this one's a little different.  I used the gorgeous PERFECTLY ARTISTIC designer paper from Sale-a-bration for the bloom.

Isn't this fabulous!!  I love the bloom paper pieced with the designer paper, so pretty!  This idea came as a result of one of the challenges for this month's Creative Crew.  We were to use the PERFECTLY ARTISTIC DSP on a thank you card.

To give more life to the blossom, I stamped it on the Whisper White card front then added a paper pieced bloom on top with dimensionals.  I only paper pieced the large blossom and leaves, the smaller leaves and buds were on the card front.

Lastly, I added a sentiment from COTTAGE GREETINGS.  This is a perfect match for BIRTHDAY BLOOMS as the font is similar.

Paper piecing this flower was so much fun, I hope you'll give it a try for yourself!

very cute, Nicole...and I love that you only paper pieced and cut out the larger bloom and leaves! I cut out the whole thing last night and decided that I won't be doing THAT again soon! Using the beautiful paper to make it easier and prettier is definitely the way to go, thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much Jan! Fussy cutting the whole flower is a lot of work! That's where this card got it's design, I figured I could paper piece the big bloom and leaves the smaller ones stamped behind it. I love how it turned out!
