Here Comes the Sun

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we have a really fun theme, HERE COMES THE SUN.



All of our projects will have something to do with sunshine, so of course I immediately went to the SUNBURST THINLIT.



Any time I get a chance, I love to use the SUNBURST THINLIT.  It's such a fun way to add texture and pizzaz to a card or project.



Aren't Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach are gorgeous together!  I added a sentiment in Archival Black ink for a pop against the paler colors.  The new LABELER ALPHABET stamp was the perfect solution for creating a custom greeting.  Each letter was stamped individually then the whole word was cut out and added to the card.

Favorite Die Cuts

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are featuring our favorite die cuts!!



I have to admit, I had a REALLY hard time......I have way more than one favorite!!!  SO.....I ended up using THREE of my favorites!!



Of course you already knew that I love the MINI TREAT BAG THINLITS but I also love the SUNBURST THINLIT and BUNCH OF BANNERS FRAMELITS.



Add in FESTIVE BIRTHDAY DSP and BIRTHDAY BANNERS stamp set and you really have a party!!!  Aren't all the bold colors and textures fabulous!!  I even threw in confetti with the SPRINKLES PUNCH for good measure!



This is really a fun way to celebrate someone's birthday!  They will feel so special getting such a bright and happy card!

Sunburst Birthday

Ready for another new sample??  You may be noticing a trend here with my cards this week....I am currently obsessed with the SUNBURST THINLIT and SWIRLY BIRD.



I also can't get enough of the new In Color PEEKABOO PEACH.  It's so gorgeous paired with POOL PARTY so be prepared to see lots of these two colors!



This card ended up being mostly die cuts and very little stamping by time I was done.  It all started with the SWIRLY SCRIBBLES THINLITS.  I added vellum and Pool Party waves behind the sunburst and a swirly on top of it.  I also added in a few silver clouds that were fussy cut from the SHINE ON DSP.



For the sentiment, I used a retiring set, RAY OF SUNSHINE.  The sentiments are fantastic paired with the SUNBURST SAYINGS BUNDLE.  Like I've said before, I love how the different stamp sets work together and compliment each other.  You may also notice the sentiment is white embossed on black cardstock.  This look just pops against the softer pastel colors....I can't get enough of this look!
