Hoppy Easter

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about EASTER CARDS!

SpringBlogHopBadge

I don't know about you, but I am SO.READY.FOR.SPRING!  And with Easter being early this year at the end of March, I really have spring fever right now!!  So I went with lots of pastels for today and a super cute PLAYFUL PALS bunny.

Isn't this just too stinkin' cute!!!  I saw this Easter egg idea on Pinterest and knew it would be the perfect backdrop for a bunny.

I die cut an oval from Whisper White to place over four layers of color stamped with the large watercolor stamp in WORK OF ART.  The bunny is layered over top and then lots of little flowers and the sentiment are next.  To get this unique sentiment, I used a most handy tool, the ALPHABET ROTARY STAMP.  I love having this around for occasions such as this where the sentiment I need doesn't exist in the catalog.....a real must have!

Now let's get to the supply list so you can make your own "Hoppy Easter" card!  Plus, check below for the sneak peek we have for you today about the MARCH MINI SESSION!!  Be sure to hop around to all the blogs to check out all the great ideas!

Crisp. Clean. Simple.

Isn't it refreshing when you see a beautiful card that is very simple yet elegant?  I think so!  Since Create with Connie and Mary had a color challenge this week, I did a very clean design that I think you'll like.  But first, here's the colors.

These colors are beautiful together and you could use them in so many ways.  I combined two floral sets Build a Bouquet and Regarding Dahlias with a splash of color from Work of Art.

Minimal layering and lots of Whisper White really make the sentiment the focal point of the card.

Both dahlias are stamped off once with Soft Sky then added to the card.  The sentiment has a splash of Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi that are also stamped off to allow the Basic Gray sentiment to pop.

And you know I had to add a bit of sparkle somehow!  A few rhinestones scattered about filled the bill!

That's it for today!  Check back tomorrow for Your Perfect Day card!

 Until then, Happy Stamping!

Check Out the New In Colors!

Welcome!  Today I have cards to share made with the new In Colors for 2014-2015!  This is such an exciting time of year, transitioning to a new catalog and new In Colors.  One of the wonderful perks of being a demonstrator is getting new products EARLY!  I got my preview goodies on Tuesday and finally got a chance to use them yesterday.  I have to say, I love these new colors!  They have to be seen in person to get the full impact of how gorgeous they are. To show you the colors, I made a simple card set using a new stamp set called Work of Art.

This was a really fun set to make.  I used only In Colors and all cards are one layer.  It's nice to make simple cards sometimes, especially when you need a card in a hurry.  All four cards took me only twenty minutes!

This card is my favorite, it has all the colors lined up like a rainbow.

Tangelo Twist

Hello Honey

Mossy Meadow

Lost Lagoon

Blackberry Bliss

Next thing on my list is to sit down and make cards to show the new colors paired with current colors.   Check back next week for more about the In Colors plus more sneak peek stamp sets!

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!
