Masculine Botanical Blooms

Let's take a break from Birthday Blooms today and look at a masculine version of BOTANICAL BLOOMS that I made.

Using just the leaves from the set gives a distinct masculine feel when combined with the right paper and sentiment.

Masculine Botanicals

I went with a sentiment from PERFECT PAIRINGS in the Sale-a-bration Catalog in Early Espresso. I paired it with neutral colors and paper from the GOING PLACES designer paper stack.  I also added in a little paper piercing since that was part of the challenge for this card for the March CREATIVE CREW on Splitcoaststampers.

For the March Mini Session from Create with Connie and Mary I also gave an idea for making a masculine card.  I made a card set with BOTANICAL BLOOMS that I think you'll really enjoy!  To find out more about subscribing to the MARCH MINI SESSION, just visit Create with Connie and Mary!

Adventure Bound Birthday

I have a really quick masculine card to share with you today.  I needed one I could make quickly, so I turned to the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack.  I pulled out one of the beautiful realistic scenes and added a simple sentiment.

Isn't this great!  It's simple yet beautiful and perfect for a man!  The best part is it only required a few minutes and a couple of supplies to make.

I started with a Garden Green card base and added the forest paper from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack.  Along the bottom is a simple birthday sentiment using the Crazy About You Bundle.  I die cut "happy" in Garden Green and adhered it with the 2-Way Glue Pen.  Underneath is a banner from Garden Green with "birthday" stamped in Garden Green.  I added it with a couple of dimensionals.  And that's it!!  Super simple yet super manly for a guy in your life!

I also have some weekly deals to share, they are good through Monday of next week.  You can place an order online, just click on one of these items in the left column at the top of the page, it will take you directly to the store!

We also have 4....YES 4 new Sale-a-bration FREEBIES that will start on March 1st!!  There is new paper, stamps and accessories...how cool is that!!  Click on the image to see the PDF File of the products.  Sale-a-brations continues through the end of March, earn a FREE item for every $50 in product purchased.

You Rock!

It's Thursday and I have a fun card for this week's sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  They have a great clean and simple sketch this week, take a look.

It didn't take long for me to figure out what I wanted to do with this one.  I have been wanting to use a specific design from the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack and it was the perfect opportunity.

Isn't this fun!  I saw a 3x3 card awhile back on Pinterest that had this paper and "you rock" and thought it was too stinkin' cute!  When I saw the sketch this week I knew this was the perfect design for this idea.

This would be such a great card for a guy.  Best part is how quickly it can be thrown together, especially if you need a card last minute.

The card base is Smokey Slate with a layer of the rock design from Adventure Bound paper cut at an angle.  I added a strip of another design from the same set of paper to compliment the colors and give a nice clean finish to the card.

The sentiment was just as simple thanks to the photopolymer set Skinny Mini Alphabet.  I was able to stamp the words exactly where I wanted them and it turned out great on the first try!

Now it's your turn!  I hope you will join the challenge with me and create a card of your own.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Guy Greetings for CCMC340

It's Thursday and time for a challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  This week is a color challenge using Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon, and Sahara Sand.

These colors are perfect for a masculine card, so I pulled out the new set Guy Greetings and made a birthday card for my Father-in-Law.

This was such a fun card to create, I used one of the stamps from Best Year Ever to make a really fun sentiment.

I stamped the "Best.Day.Ever." sentiment on Very Vanilla then die cut it with a Banner Framelit.  Next, I stamped "Father" from Guy Greetings with Basic Gray on Lost Lagoon and die cut it with a banner from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.  It fit perfect over "Day." and made a new sentiment!

The card came together quickly once the sentiment was taken care of.  I used a Sahara Sand card base with a layer of Basic Gray then a layer of designer paper from the Adventure Bound paper stack.  I stamped "Hats off to you" along the bottom of the designer paper then adhered the banner above.  And since my Father-in-Law wears lots of hats, I stamped a couple with Basic Gray to fussy cut and add to the card.  I think this will be the perfect birthday card for him!!

Now it's your turn to stamp!  Why not join the challenge this week??  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping!

We are in Week 2, but you can still join us for the fun!!  We have lots of amazing projects for you, more details at Create with Connie and Mary!

Moonlight Birthday

Welcome back!  Today we have a new sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday and I have more of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack to share with you.  First, let me show you the sketch.

When I saw the sketch, I knew that the Moonlight paper would be perfect for this.  Yesterday I used designs that had Blackberry Bliss in them.  Today the paper I used has the new Lost Lagoon as the main color.

The theme for today was smell the roses. But I really needed a masculine birthday card, so I used Basic Grey, Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey.

I used three panels of the designer paper and one piece of Basic Grey embossed with the Arrows EF.  All the pieces were added to a Whisper White card base.  The greeting is from the fabulous set Four You.  I stamped "Birthday Wishes" on Lost Lagoon with Basic Grey.  I added banner ends with the Hexagon Punch for a finishing touch.

I hope you will join the challenge with me this week!  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for more details and great samples from the Design Team!

Thanks for visiting!  Happy Stamping!
