Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge TSSC254

It's Monday already! Time for a new Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  This week's sketch from Mary Jo is :

And here is the card I came up with:

I wanted to use Secret Garden, so my biggest challenge was deciding on a color scheme.  I ended up using In Colors and going with Sycamore Street DSP.  The card base is Island Indigo embossed with the Vine Street EF.  The Whisper White is stamped with Pool Party and Lucky limeade using the leaf stamp and one of the flowers.  I die cut just the top of the paper with a lables framelit to get the shape I needed for the sketch.  Once it was die cut, I embossed it with the Honeycomb EF.  A 1 1/2" strip of DSP from Sycamore street was added to the bottom.  I die cut a piece of Lucky Limeade with the Petal Cone Die cut to get the banner to stamp my greeting that came from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The flower was stamped with Island Indigo and die cut with the matching framelits.  I cut a couple of each flower so I could cut the two centers out and add dimension.  I used a dimensional between each layer of the flower.  I also added dimension to the flower by sponging a bit of Island Indigo around the edges and using my bone folder to curl the sides of the flower up.  The leaves were die cut from Lucky Limeade and sponged with matching ink.  I used an embossing tool to run a line down the center of the leaves to add dimension.  Here's a close up of the flower.

I think the flower turned out to be my favorite part of the card.  I am looking forward to creating more cards and things with the Secret Garden Bundle so check back for more samples!
