It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. This week we have a color challenge to work with.
I love the masculine feel of this color combo, I haven't try this one out before. I ended up going with Mosaic Madness, here's what I made.
I must confess that Summer Starfruit is a color I never use. I don't even own the ink pad. I have the card stock though, therefore I chose it as the card base. I added in a mosaic design to the card base, but I used Versa Mark to get around the no ink pad issue. I often over look the value of Versa Mark, nice to have it around! Let's look closer at the focal point of the card.
My focal point is a stamped mosaic design that was die cut with a window framelit. I stamped the design before cutting it so I could position the design how I wanted it in the window framelit. I stamped my design using Island Indigo and Early Espresso. For a pop of color, I added in a couple flowers in Summer Starfruit that I punched with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. A small pearl added an extra little touch to the flowers. I added in Early Espresso flowers randomly on the card base for a little extra color there as well. Last touch was the greeting stamped in Island Indigo using Sweet Essentials. I ended up loving this abstract design of this card. I hope you like it too!!
Join me for the color challenge this week. Just hop over to Create with Connie and Mary to find out all the details and link up your card.
If it doesn't move...stamp it!

What a great clean and simple design! Love that panel of mosaics and that pop of color it adds! Those little punched flowers are so pretty!
You are so smart to use Versamark. I too forget about that aspect of this wonderful ink. This is such a pretty clean and simple card and I love how you added the little flowers and pearls!
I really like the Designer Paper you created with the Mosaic stamps; so creative to embellish them with the Summer Starfruit flowers..even better than stamping them! I agree, VersaMark is a great tool for many situations! Beautiful card.
The starfruit suits being in the background on this card. Love the design you made with Mosaics and how you used the versa mark. Very creative. TFS.
This would make a great workshop card. Love the addition of the tiny flowers!
Cleand and simple. What a great way to showcase the mosaic products! I really like this!
