Friends are the Perfect Blend for TSSC286

Monday's here already and we have a great new sketch challenge from Mary Jo at Technostamper.

I love this sketch, so fun!  I decided to do a friendship card using Perfect Blend which is one of my favorite sets.

This was simple to make, here's the details.

1.  Used Basic Gray card stock as my card base.  Added a layer of Soft Sky card stock embossed with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder, love the texture!

2.  I went simple with the scallop design on the card.  I embossed a strip of Basic Gray card stock with the scalloped edge embossing folder from Needlepoint Borders.  I fussy cut around the scallops then added it to the card with a little Multi-purpose Tombow Adhesive.

3.  Cut a piece of Birthday Basics DSP with the largest tag from Chalk Talk Framelits.  I adhered it to a piece of Gumball Green card stock and fussy cut around the tag to make a thin layer of green.  Added a piece of retired Basic Gray satin ribbon to the top of the tag.  I used glue dots to hold the ribbon in place after I added the tag to the card.

4.  Stamped the cup with Smokey Slate on Whisper White card stock and cut it out. Stamped the lid with Smokey Slate ink on Smokey slate card stock and cut it out also.  Glued the lid to the cup.  Stamped friend from the retired set Noteworthy from 2006.  Added the cup to the tag with dimensionals.

5.  Stamped "thinking of you" from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Basic Gray on Smokey Slate card stock and die cut it with the small banner from Bitty Banners Framelits.  Added it to the card with a dimensional.

That's it!  A fun and simple friendship card!!  You can see cards made by other members of the design team by clicking on the links below.  Go to Technostamper to find out more about participating and to link up your card!

This is so cute! I adore that you left the cup plain. So hard to do, lol. Great card, thanks so much for another fabulous sample for my sketch challenge this week!
