October Paper Pumpkin for CCC22

It's Monday and I have two fun cards to share with you today.  The first card is for the sketch challenge from the Creative Challenge Club.

I have yet to use the October My Paper Pumpkin kit, so I challenged myself to make today's card with as much of the kit as possible.

So, what do you think??  Did I meet my goal?  I am pretty pleased that I was able to incorporate a stamp and two of the paper elements from the kit.

I wanted to have a muted color for the card base so I went with the Kraft Cardstock on page 192 of the catalog.  It matches beautifully with the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper, so I used the polka dot pattern for the oval.  But before I added anything to the card, I stamped one of the feathers from Four Feathers lightly over the card base with Crumb Cake ink.

Before adding the oval, I placed one of the pie labels along the left side for one of the sketch elements.  Then, the oval went over top and the die cut feathers were added.

The sentiment was very simple to create.  On vanilla cardstock, I lightly stamped the feather then added the bold sentiment over top in Early Espresso ink.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this week's sketch with the October My Paper Pumpkin kit.  It's always fun to find alternate ways to use all the goodies in these kits.

Now it's your turn!! I hope you will join me and make a card of your own.  Just go to the Creative Challenge Club for all the details and more great samples from the Design Team.

Letterpress Winter

It's Monday and as usual I have two cards to share.  This first one is for the Creative Challenge Club, they have a great sketch for us.

I pondered this one a little and finally decided to go with the snowflakes from Letterpress Winter.

The snowflakes are layered in a series of circles.  The first snowflake was stamped with Soft Sky on Whisper White and die cut with a circle framelit.  To add some sparkle, the second snowflake is a silver glimmer circle with a silver foil die cut snowflake layered on top.  TIP: I've heard from quite a few people that getting anything to stick to glimmer paper is difficult.  I simply use Tombow Multi-purpose adhesive on whatever I want to glue to the glimmer paper.  Let the glue sit for just a  minute or so so it gets a little tacky and it will stick to the glimmer paper.  Be sure to let it dry thoroughly and it will stay in place!  I finished off the card with the sentiment from Cheerful Tags and a few silver sequins.  I love the look of the silver and soft sky together, so pretty and frosty!

Now it's your turn!! I hope you will join me and make a card of your own.  Just go to the Creative Challenge Club for all the details and more great samples from the Design Team.
