Flirty Flamingo

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  FLIRTY FLAMINGO is this week's color which is quickly becoming a favorite!



I used the new BIGGEST BIRTHDAY EVER Bundle for my card and I have to tell you.....this bundle is TOO.MUCH.FUN!

There are endless possibilities for the slice of cake and all the accessories!

To showcase FLIRTY FLAMINGO, I kept the colors simple by adding just black and white.  The strips of designer paper along the sides are from the POP OF PINK Specialty DSP.  The stripes add a nice bold touch to the card and makes the pink stand out even more!  The cake itself is all FLIRTY FLAMINGO.  The cute polka dot layers are stamped after the cake was added to the card.  It was easy peasy to line up since the stamps are photopolymer!   The one thing this set doesn't have it sentiments.  So, I used a nice bold greeting from CONFETTI CELEBRATION. It gave the celebratory look I was going for.  After a few sprinkles (more like a lot!) and sequins the card was done!

Peekaboo Peach

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring the NEW IN COLORS!!  PEEKABOO PEACH is the first color up and one of my favorites!



This new stamp set and coordinating framelits was a must have for my first order....SWEET CUPCAKE and CUPCAKE CUTOUTS.

 I knew that this awesome cupcake would look amazing in PEEKABOO PEACH!  This cupcake is a layering process of three stamps to give lots of dimension and shading.  This time I used SOFT SUEDE and TIP TOP TAUPE for the cupcake wrapper and all PEEKABOO PEACH for the icing.  It's just a matter of stamping off and layering to get this beautiful effect.

Everything, yes absolutely everything, on this card is NEW!  I pointed out a few things for you in the picture.  The die cuts are all from CUPCAKE CUTOUTS.  The swirly die along the top and bottom of the card is a favorite and will be used for more than just birthday cards!  I also added in COPPER THREAD which coordinates beautifully with PEEKABOO PEACH.  And finally, I used a sentiment on the envelope from CONFETTI CELEBRATION.  All of these items coordinate well which is one of the reasons I love Stampin' Up! products so much!

Confetti Celebration

Did you know that today is a special day??  It' the first day that you can order from the BRAND NEW 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog!!!  Yep, I'm excited....can you tell?

This is such an amazing catalog....my wish list is literally a mile long!  I even splurged today and placed an order with 2nd day air so I'll have it Friday!  Can't wait to start working with NEW PRODUCTS!!!  Speaking of new, here's a card for today that combines new and old, well not too old, PARTY WITH CAKE has been released in the new catalog too!



Isn't this so much fun!!  I used a NEW designer paper, a NEW stamp set and a NEW punch!



I started out with the idea to use a favorite new color combination of WATERMELON WONDER and DAPPER DENIM.  Since this card is all about celebrating, I added in a fun paper design from the new POP OF PINK Specialty Designer Series Paper.



I created a fun extended greeting by combining die cut negatives from the PARTY POP UP thinlits and sentiments from CONFETTI CELEBRATION.  Alternating colors makes the sentiment "pop" against the gold sprinkle paper.  And for a little extra bling, I added punch outs of streamers and confetti using the fun new SPRINKLES PUNCH.  I think this new punch is a real MUST HAVE!  Imagine all the awesome shaker cards that can be made with this punch!!



And as always I had to make the inside of the card as happy as the outside!  I used sentiments from PARTY WITH CAKE and added in more streamers.  Overall this card was way too much fun!!

NOW........here's that SNEAK PEEK I promised......

I actually used TWO new products plus one that carries over.

The focal point of my card is a combination of a sentiment from CONFETTI CELEBRATION, a swirly die cut from the SWIRLY SCRIBBLES THINLIT and a current sentiment from PARTY WITH CAKE.  This showcases quite nicely how well stamp sets and products from Stampin' Up! coordinate and work together.

There's a bit of bling here too...of course!  The silver polka dot paper from the SHINE ON DSP was the starting point with the SILVER GLIMMER PAPER and RHINESTONES being a natural addition.  I threw in one more color.......PEEKABOO PEACH.  It's my favorite new In Color by far!  I actually have another SNEAK PEEK card for you tomorrow featuring it as a part of my favorite new color combo.
