Holiday Collection Week 4 Blog Hop!

Welcome to the final Blog Hop of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection!!  The last four weeks went by so fast, but I had such a great time!! You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, I love her cards, she is so creative!  My set for this week was Wintertime.  I almost made a shaker card, but I liked the look of the see through window by itself.

I love how this card turned out, and it was pretty simple to make!  I started with a Coastal Cabana card base that I die cut an oval out of.  I added a piece of window sheet cut in an oval one size up to make the window panel.  To cover up the window sheet and make the card front nice and neat, I cut a frame from two ovals and a piece of Motley Monsters Designer paper.

I also added a frame of designer paper to the inside of the card so it matches the front.  For the inside, I simply stamped "Happy Winter" with Coastal Cabana on Whisper White cardstock.

Once the main portion of the card was complete, I added embellishments.  The front of the card got Bermuda Bay snowflakes from a small stamp in Holiday Home.  I love that they looked like the white sparkles on the designer paper.  Lastly, I added in silver glimmer stars.  A couple of larger stars and a few smaller ones as well.  I even placed two stars on the window sheet so they lined up in between the swirls at the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Holiday Collection Week 3 Blog Hop!

You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, she always has amazing cards and projects to share.  My set for this week was Wondrous Wreath.  I absolutely LOVE this set!! So much versatility with the holidays and ways you can use it.  So, instead of making just one card for the blog hop today, I made a set of 4 gift cards.

The wreath fits just perfectly on the front of a 3" x 3" card.  I love to have these little cards on hand to tuck into gift bags.  Each card is unique, so let's take a closer look.

Card one is Cherry Cobbler with a piece of plaid designer paper from Trim the Tree.  The wreath and a simple gold foil "joy" make the card complete.  Each card has the same wreath made with Pistachio Pudding, Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobbler.

Card two is Garden Green with a polka dot design from Trim the Tree paper stack.  I added the wreath and a Cherry Cobbler bow.  It seemed a bit plain, so I added a little bling.  I made ornaments from the small circles on the Cupcake Builder Punch.  The little bit of Gold Glimmer paper made the wreath complete.

Card three is also Garden Green cardstock with a bit of patterned paper from Trim the Tree.  This wreath is decorated with a Cherry Cobbler bow and a greeting.  I used "Merry Christmas" from Good Greetings and die cut it with the banner included in the Snowflake Flip Card Thinlet.

Card four is Cherry Cobbler with the plaid design again.  The wreath is embellished with a gold foil bow and rhinestone.  A banner with "celebrate" from Good Greetings is tucked into the center of the wreath.  I used the same banner from the Snowflake Flip card but cut the left side down to make it fit.

Each card has the same sentiment stamped inside on Whisper White.  I used the greeting from the Wondrous Wreath set, it was a perfect fit.

So much versatility with the holidays and ways you can use it.  So, instead of making just one card for the blog hop today, I made a set of 4 gift cards.

Holiday Collection Week 2 Blog Hop!

You should be getting here from Melissa's blog, she always has amazing cards and projects to share.  My set for the week was Letterpress Winter paired with the Snowflake Flip Card thinlet Die.

This awesome set of die cuts is so fun to work with.  I am in the process of planning a Frozen birthday party for my daughter, so I went ahead and made her invitation a flip card.  She sat next to me and "directed" me with what she wanted.  Of course, the colors are very important...frosty cool colors make this card perfect for a December birthday.

Inside the frosty colors continue.  I stamped "you're invited" directly on the designer paper, love the way it looks.  The side flap in white has a place for all the details and a silver snowflake.

We are having a fairly small party, so I plan to make each card individualized.  The snowflake on the inside of the card will have the guest's name printed from the computer.  I like the idea of having a really personalized card to give out...it will get them excited for the party!

Here's the invite with the party favor I shared yesterday.  I love the two together, the All is Calm paper is just so beautiful!
