Matchbox Treat

One of the things I love about Halloween is making lots of fun treats to give away.  Today's idea is matchbox style treat featuring JAR OF HAUNTS.



These little treats are not only cute, but easy to make.  The Basic Black card stock measured 7 1/4" x 3" and was scored at 2 3/4" and 5 3/4".  For embellishment, I used the Jack-o-Lantern from JAR OF HAUNTS and HALLOWEEN NIGHT SPECIALTY DSP.



Inside is a candy with a fun sentiment.  A great way to give a little treat or to even advertise your business.  Slip a business card in with the treat and hand these out everywhere you go!



When I get a little time this week I think I'll expand on this idea and do a bunch for everyone at work.  Cookie Cutter Halloween and Spooky Fun would be a couple of other great stamps to use with this idea.

Halloween Boo

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is HALLOWEEN BOO....spooky ideas.



I immediately went to JAR OF HAUNTS for my card, it's got some amazing images for a spooky card or treat.



Turned out pretty spooky, don't ya think!  It was a combination of several elements that brought it all together.  First, the BRICK WALL EF was absolutely the perfect background.  I used Basic Gray and added shading with Archival Black ink.  I also added more dimension and spookiness with the spider web from SPOOKY FUN and the tiny spider included with JAR OF HAUNTS.



An ooey, gooey jar of spiders and a haunting jack-o-lantern added to the creepiness of the card.  I personally hate spiders so covering everything in spiders is spooky and creepy to me!  I borrowed the solid color stamp from the original JAR OF LOVE stamp set to give the color in the jar then added slime and colored it with a blender pen and ink pad.



Final couple of details that made this card so fun for me were the greeting and candy corns.  I thought I'd better have some kind of treat on the card with "spooky treats" written on it.  I just colored and cut out a couple of candy corns and used mini glue dots to tuck them in the corner.  The sentiment came from the awesome and must have set LABELER ALPHABET.  I stamped the letters in black on Whisper White all in a row then cut out each word.

Jar of Haunts

I don't you about you, but I love making spooky cards and treats for Halloween each year.  This year one of the new stamp sets that stood out to me is JAR OF HAUNTS.



It has two, yes TWO coordinating sets so you have loads of options!!  JAR OF LOVE and JAR OF CHEER are the other two and they all coordinate with the EVERYDAY JARS FRAMELITS.

For today's card, I was inspired by all the spooky eyes................



Isn't this great!  The LABELER ALPHABET made this perfect greeting possible.  But there's still more........



The jar is hinged to open for the last bit of the sentiment and a pair of spooky eyes!  I just LOVE this!!!

The hidden sentiment is a fun little surprise, don't you think??  I love the unexpected!!
