Saturday Summer Challenge #4

It's the last Saturday Challenge of the Summer Collection 2014 and I am sad to see it go!  I had soooooo much fun creating projects and cards these last 4 weeks.

We have a color challenge for this last Saturday, take a look.

Gorgeous colors this week for sure!  When I was looking through previous card sketches from Create with Connie and Mary, I saw one of my favorites and decided to use it for my card.

For these wonderful earthy colors I wanted to use Bloom with Hope as my stamp set.  I used Lost Lagoon for my card base, embossed with the Woodgrain EF.  Next, I added a banner of Mossy Meadow.  Over that banner I added a second banner of Sahara Sand.  The flowers are stamped with Sahara Sand with the sentiment stamped in Mossy Meadow over it.  Last little touch is a bit of Lost Lagoon ribbon.

This was a quick yet beautiful card!

Supplies:
Stamps: Bloom with Hope
Paper:  Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand
Ink: Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow
Accessories: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon

I hope you will pull out your stamps and inks to play along with us!
For more details and samples from the Design Team, just go to Create with Connie and Mary
While your are there, check out the details about the Summer Collection
2014.  It's not too late to subscribe, there are so many fun projects
waiting for you!!

Mr. Sunshine for CCM312

It's hard to believe yet another week has flown by!  It's Thursday already and I still feel like it's only Monday!  But since it really is Thursday, I have a card to share for this week's color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary.  First, here are the colors we have to work with.

I love these colors together, so beautiful!  I wanted to use Ray of Sunshine since it's my set for this week's Summer Collection project.   I needed a little inspiration, so I went back and looked at past Create with Connie and Mary sketches.  Here's what I ended up making.

The Moonlight DSP has all three colors, so I chose this layout to incorporate the paper.  I started out with a Blackberry Bliss card base embossed with the Large Polka Dot EF.  The Designer Series Paper strips went next.  Since Sahara Sand is a great neutral color, I used it for the sentiment which I stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink.

The sun was so fun to make, the Moonlight DSP came in handy for him too!  I used a great Hello Honey striped pattern and the Banner Punch for the rays.  The sun is a circle of Hello Honey cardstock that I punched with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I stamped the face with Blackberry Bliss ink, I love the bold look!  I added him to the card with dimensionals so he could pop up a bit.  I meant to add a few sequins around the card, but totally forgot!  I was so happy with how Mr. Sun turned out, that the sequins never made it on the card...oh well, it happens!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Ray of Sunshine
Paper:  Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand, Hello Honey, Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss
Accessories:  Banner Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Now it's your turn!  Pull out your stamps and paper and join the challenge with me.  You can find all the details plus more great samples at Create with Connie and Mary.  While you are there, why not subscribe to the Summer Collection 2014 if you haven't already, it's not too late!  We have tons of amazing projects for you, all featuring NEW PRODUCTS!  Just because we are coming to the end doesn't mean you have to miss out on the exclusive projects we have created for you!

Saturday Summer Challenge #3

It's hard to believe, but we are coming to the end of week 3 of the Summer Collection 2014 from Create with Connie and Mary.

These past weeks have just flown by!  It's not to late to join us though!  You can still subscribe and see all the amazing projects we have for you.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details. Now, let's take a look at the sketch for today.

My subscriber exclusive card set for week 3 was Cupcake Party....such a fun set!  So, I did another cupcake card for today's challenge.

Isn't this so fun for a birthday?!  If you haven't gotten this set, you really should....I can't seem to get enough of it!  The cupcakes are so cute with the new Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper.  For this card, I used 2 different patterns from the DSP.  I combined stripes with polka dots.

I wanted lots of bright colors for the focal point, so I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise to bring the cupcake to life.  I added in a rhinestone as well for a little bling.  I used my darkest Coastal Cabana Blendabilities marker to color it.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Cupcake Party
Paper:  Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry
Inks:  Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight
Accessories:  Deco Label Framelits, Cupcake Builder Punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, Rhinestones, Coastal Cabana Blendabilities

I hope you will pull out your stamps and inks to play along with us!  For more details and samples from the Design Team, just go to Create with Connie and Mary.  While your are there, check out the details about the Summer Collection 2014.  It's not too late to subscribe, there are so many fun projects waiting for you!!
