Card "Create"tions Saturday Blog Hop Week 3!!

Welcome!!  We are in our final week of Card "Create"tions Celebrations 2015 and it has been a blast!

http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/

A big thank you to all of you that have followed us these three weeks!!  You should be arriving from Melissa's fabulous blog Rubberfunatics.  She never disappoints!!  As always, make sure to travel all the way around so you don't miss anything!

My final card set was for the gorgeous Your Perfect Day.  To make it even better, I paired it with Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper and the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  When I started planning for this blog hop, I considered many options.  As I've told you before, I love to re-use things and I keep all sorts of boxes and containers.  So, why not use the box for the Artisan Embellishment Kit as my favor.

Isn't this cool!! My upline Patty Bennett was the first to think of this idea and I think she is a genius!  Once I had my box all prettied up with designer paper and embellishments, I had to decide what to put inside.  My first thought was lots of confetti and a congratulations card, but I went with thank you cards for the happy couple.

Custom envelopes for each card of course!

There are so many ways to you run with this idea, I hope it has inspired you!  Now, onto the Debbie Henderson's awesome project at Debbie's Designs.

A Perfect Day

We are coming to a close for Card "Create"tions Celebrations from Create with Connie and Mary.  Today my last card set showcasing Your Perfect Day went live.  I can't share the exclusive cards with you, but I can share this one!

Your Perfect Day is so elegant and has a lovely simplicity to it.  My favorite stamp is this beautiful cake.  It stands alone nicely on this card with a bit of designer paper and a sentiment.

Pear Pizazz is a great accent color along with Blushing Bride.  They go hand in hand with this wedding style!  A couple of pearls and a small flower completes this elegant look.

If you'd like to see the Your Perfect Day card set I designed for Card "Create"tions Celebrations, you can still subscribe!  Just because the collection has come to an end doesn't mean you can't enjoy it!  In fact, you will get to have access to the entire collection ALL AT ONCE!  Woo Hoo!!  For all the details go to Create with Connie and Mary.

Be sure to join me tomorrow for another project showcasing Your Perfect Day for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

Until next time, Happy Stamping!

A Simple Wedding Card Plus FREE SHIPPING THIS WEEK!

Hi Stampers!!  I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!!  We had a fantastic time with our family and loved the down time!  Today we are back on track and I have a card to share for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Mary Jo has changed to a new format of running two challenges a month on the first and third Mondays.  So, let's take a look at the first challenge for this month.

This is a great sketch for doing a clean and simple card, so I pulled out an old favorite to work with.

Regarding Dahlias is such a timeless stamp set!!  This lovely flower can be used in so many ways so why not a wedding card!  In going along with the clean and simple route, I also went monochromatic.  Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite colors, especially since there are Bermuda Bay sequins!!!!  I love adding sequins to everything so that was a big part of my decision!

To make the sentiment from Your Perfect Day stand out, the flower is stamped off once for a lighter color.  Then of course I have a few sequins sprinkled about and that is it for this super fast and beautiful wedding card!

I hope you will pull out your stamps and join us!  Just go to Technostamper for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

On Your Perfect Day

Welcome back!  I have another wedding card to share today with the new set Your Perfect Day.  This time I used the sketch challenge from Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

I made this card the same day that I made my card for Monday, so it uses Something Borrowed Designer Paper and Your Perfect Day.

I just loved this combination of colors and elements.  This card just fell into place and made itself!  It started out with a Crumb Cake card base that I kept simple, no extra stamping.  To that I added a beautiful design from the Something Borrowed Designer Paper as the background for the cake.  Just a few extra elements gave the card more life.  The scalloped edge in Blushing Bride was made using the Finishing Touches Edgelit.  I love the fancy touch it adds, perfect for a wedding card.  The pearls also added to the wedding feel of the card, very elegant looking.  And since the card was on the simpler side, I kept the sentiment simple and stamped it underneath the cake directly on the card base using Soft Suede ink.

So that's it!  A simple yet elegant wedding card using just a few elements.  I hope you are feeling inspired and join the challenge with me!  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Your Perfect Day for TSSC356

It's Monday so of course I have a card to share for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us, take a look.

Isn't this a great sketch!  I wanted to do something a little different, so I looked through my current stamps and came up with this.

This wedding set Your Perfect Day is so pretty that I had to use it for my card.  It was actually out on my desk from a CCMC that I did last week, so I looked at all my stamps then ended up going with this one.

It was actually pretty easy to make, let me give you a quick breakdown.

* Crumb Cake card base with small flower stamped all over with Crumb Cake ink.

* Three 1 1/4" strips of Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper.  Top strip has sentiment stamped in Soft Suede.

*  Cake is stamped with Soft Suede ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Pink Pirouette Blendabilities.  I also added a touch of the lightest Wild Wasabi blendabilities marker over the leaves on the cake.  I fussy cut the cake and added it over the strips of paper.

*  Final touches: a small flower on the cake with the retired Itty Bitty Punch Pack flower and a pearl. I even added in a tiny snippet of Pear Pizzaz paper for a small leaf.  Small Blushing Bride heart below the sentiment.  I used the heart framelit from the Circle Flip Card Thinlet set.

So that's it!! I hope you enjoyed today's wedding card and feel inspired to create a card of your own!!  Just go to Techno Stamper for all the challenge details and more great samples from the Design Team.
