All that Glitters

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is ALL THAT GLITTERS.

I went with a very unusual card for this one, I wanted to be totally different!  Check it out........

Not your usual Christmas card, right??  Well, I was in the mood to make a movement card so I thought about how I could incorporate the slider card dies into my card.  PEACE ON EARTH was the answer!  The earth in the SHOOTING STAR fit the bill.

The card base was done in black so the silver foil paper would really stand out.  I added in silver glimmer paper and silver embossing as well.  There is even shimmer on the earth that was added with the clear WINK OF STELLA.

Flashback Friday: Hey, Ghoul Friend

Welcome to another Flashback Friday!!  A big thank you to all of the blog hop participants and visitors from last week!!!  It's so fun to hear from all of you, there are lots of retired stamp lovers out there!  This week's flashback card is made with Hey, Ghoul Friend from the 2005 Holiday Mini Catalog.

This is such a fun and cute Halloween set!!  I haven't touched it in years and figured it was time to bring it out!  The figures all look like they are ready to jump or spin soooooo I made spinner cards!
I have two to share, take at look at Franky first.

Isn't he so cute!  I stamped him on Whisper White card stock and colored him in using a blender pen and ink pads.  I added black card stock behind him and fussy cut to give more stability.  I added my greeting in the slot that he spins on.  The DSP is one of my favorites from years ago as well.  I am sorry that I don't have the name of it for you, I am down to the end of it so I no longer have the label.  Here's a close up view.

Next card features the witch and a different style of the retired Halloween DSP.

She was colored the same as Franky using a blender pen and ink pads and has black paper backing as well.  I have had so much fun with these, they are just a blast to play with.  My kids couldn't keep their hands off these cards, I had to finally put them up!

I hope you enjoyed my Halloween flashback to 2005.  Next week I have another Halloween flashback that goes even further back....it's so cute I can hardly wait to show you!  Thanks for visiting! See you next time!

If it doesn't move...stamp it!!
