Cheerful Birthday

Today I have a cute little Cheerful Critters card to share for the Sketch Challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  First, let's look at the sketch for this week.

I pulled out the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper for color inspiration and came up with this fun card.

With this particular design, I thought a little critter would be cute sitting on the paper.  I love the bold bright colors from Birthday Bash DSP and focused in on the yellows.  The chic is a perfect fit colored with Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

For the sentiment, I pulled a greeting from a past My Paper Pumpkin.  Stamped in Bermuda Bay it coordinates well with the designer paper.

This card was quick and easy, just what I like!!  Now it's your turn to try out this week's sketch.  Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Thanks so much for visiting!! Happy Stamping!

Cheerful Critters for CCMC342

We've got a color challenge this week at Create with Connie and Mary.  We are using Basic Black, Hello Honey and Sahara Sand.

I used a set that you may not think of with these colors, but I thought out of the box a little and went with Cheerful Critters.

I kept the card clean and simple, especially with these colors.  The Whisper White cardstock gives a nice crisp background for the simple birthday card.   A black banner along the bottom gives the bunny a place to sit.  The shirt is paper pieced with Sahara Sand and the bunny is kept white except a slight bit of blush on it's cheeks.

The party set High Five was used for some of the fun details including the Hello Honey arrows along the banner plus the sentiment "Party Time".  Last detail was the Hello Honey stars punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

So there you have it!  A crisp and clean Cheerful Critters card with this week's colors.  I hope you will join the challenge and make a card with us!  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

You can also find more information about the Spring Collection 2015.  It's coming to an end, but you can still subscribe and have access to all of the tutorials at once!

Cheerful Critters Birthday

Welcome back!  Today I have a card to share for the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Let's take a look at the sketch for this week.

Cheerful Critters came to mind immediately when I saw this sketch.  I paired it with the new Sale-a-bration designer paper Best Year Ever.

I went with a birthday theme and gave each critter a fun greeting.  This was such an easy card to stamp, I simply set all the critters on the paper where I wanted them then put the block over them for perfect placement!  That's one of the reason's I just LOVE photopoymer stamps!

The critters were all colored with blendabilities, their shirts are all different shades of Coastal Cabana.  I layered them on a piece of Best Year Ever Designer paper.  The finishing touch on the card was a piece of Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.  The ribbon is so gorgeous, it's a soft cotton and the color is fabulous!

I hope you enjoyed today's Critter card! I have lots more to come, I can't get enough of these cute little guys.  I hope you will join the challenge with me!!  You can find all the details and more great samples at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

Cheerful Critter Valentine

Welcome back!!  Today I have a quick card share, it's a Valentine version of my critter shaker from Friday.

Is this little bunny cute or what?!  I just can't get enough of these cute little guys.  What's even better is the ability to add whatever sentiment that you want in the banner.  I can see all sorts of fun cards from birthdays to thank yous and more!

As with the other shaker, I used the On film framelits to create my shaker then added the bunny to the front of the window sheet.  The paper for this card is from Sweet Taffy in the main catalog and the hearts in the background are from Something to Say.  The heart confetti was made with the Hearts Border Punch and I glued a couple in place with this card just like the first.

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed another critter shaker.  If you missed the first one, you can see it HERE.

Happy Stamping!

Preview Week Day 6 and BLOG CANDY!!

Woo Hoo!! Today is Day 6 of Preview Week and it's my turn to give away BLOG CANDY!!  I am super excited to be on the Design Team for the Spring Collection 2015 from Create with Connie and Mary. The new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Catalog are chock full of great products and we are here to give you great ideas for using them!!  Let me show you my card then I'll tell you more!

I'm sure that anyone that follows my blog knows how much I love shaker cards and confetti, so I had to do one for today with a critter!!  The Cheerful Critters set is just so cute I knew it would be great as a shaker.

The inspiration came from the December Paper Pumpkin kit that I have made a bunch of cards with.  It was super easy to recreate using the On Film framelits and the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.  The bear from Cheerful Critters was stamped and colored with blendabilities then fussy cut and glued to the front of the shaker.  A bunch of stars from the Confetti Star Punch and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack made up the confetti. I glued a couple in place so the shaker never looks empty.  A super cute way to say Happy Birthday, don't you think?!
