Fall Owl

Lately I've been showing you different ways to use your holiday stamps to get the most from them.  Today let's look at another way to use the HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT BUNDLE.

Fall Owl by becreativewithnicole.com

Isn't this perfect for fall!  Changing up the colors is a great way to change the feel of your stamps.  INTO THE WOODS designer series paper added a pop of color to the neutral Soft Suede that was used for the card base and owl.

Fall owl

FOR ALL THINGS from the main catalog provided a great sentiment and also a little background stamping behind the designer paper.  I used Mossy Meadow on Pear Pizzaz for "hello fall" to stand from the owl.

And as always, I added in sequins...they always make a card better!

Howl-o-ween Banner Tutorial

It's getting closer and closer to Halloween so now is the time to start crafting!  Last week I shared a post for a Halloween party using the fun HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT BUNDLE.

Halloween Party by becreativewithnicole.com

The centerpiece of the set was the banner made with HAPPY HAUNTING designer series paper and Howl-o-ween Treat Bundle.

Let's get ready for Halloween!

I don't know about you, but I love little treats and decorations for Halloween.  I am already planning out some party ideas that I thought would be fun to share!

Halloween Party be becreativewithnicole.com

I've been busy as you can see!  It all started with the thought of doing a banner and I just kept going and going!

Banner by becreativewithnicole.com.jpg

Each piece of the banner has different stamps and die cuts from the Howl-o-ween Treat bundle and was way more fun to create than I anticipated!  The panels are each 4" x 6" with the banner end hand cut.  I am actually working on a tutorial to release next week with the instructions for the banner and the treats so you can make your own!  UPDATE: YOU CAN FIND THE TUTORIAL HERE!

Now let's check out all the treats.  I wanted a variety so there would be something for everyone's taste.

Cookie envelopes by becreativewithnicole.com

I am well known for my chocolate chip cookies, so a cookie envelope was the first idea to come to mind.  They are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and are just the right size for a cookie!  The envelope punch board made this a quick and easy project.  The hardest part was choosing which patterns of the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper to use!

Mini Treat Bags by becreativewithnicole.com

Next up, pixie stix!  Theses are a staple at Halloween in our house, so a quick and cute holder is a must have!  I went with a half size Mini Treat Bag and some die cuts, no stamping on this one!   The banner came from the Mini Treat Bag set of thinlits.  I added in "spooky" from the Seasonal Frames Thinlits and "Boo" from the Boo to You Framelits.

Next treat is a cute mini Berry Basket like the one Erica Cerwin made.

Mini Berry Basket by becreativewithnicole.com

I loved the idea of the smaller basket, anything mini is super cute!  It's embellished with the skull and bones plus more Happy Haunting Designer Paper.

And I have one last goodie, this one is actually perfect for hanging the banner on your fridge or other magnetic service.

clothespin magnets by becreativewithnicole.com

These little guys are one of my favorite little 3D items.  Clothespin magnets are fun to embellish and easy to make!  For this pair, I just covered the the clothespin with Happy Haunting Washi tape and added magnets to the back.  The Boo to You framelits made the stamped images quick to die cut and add to the front with dimensionals.

One thing I did forget to mention is the awesome spider web doilies that are scattered through the projects and pictures.  These babies are so cool!  I added them as embellishments on my treats plus used them as actual doilies on my tablescape.  Definitely a must have item for Halloween!

Halloween Baker's Box

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about HALLOWEEN TREATS!

create blog hop badge

HOWL-O-WEEN TREAT is most definitely my favorite Halloween set this year.  I haven't taken this set of my desk since I got it!  For today's project, I used it to embellish a BAKER'S BOX.

Halloween Baker's Box by becreativewithnicole.com.jpg

I used HAPPY HAUNTING Designer Series Paper to create the box.  I added a small square of Basic Black cardstock inside the box to reinforce the bottom..... I want to load this with tons of candy!!

Baker's Box by becreativewithnicole.com.jpg

Lots of embellishments make this quite a treat indeed!  A spider web doily created the background for the spooky skull and bones.  A little silver glimmer paper added sparkle to complete the look.  Did you notice the little bit of Bermuda Bay that I snuck in??  I added a small starburst made with one of the thinlits in the BAKER'S BOX set.  I think Bermuda Bay looks gorgeous with Tangelo Twist and Basic Black....a perfect Halloween color combo!

Here's a list of products used for today's Halloween Treat:

STAMPS:  Howl-o-ween Treat

INKS:  Memento Tuxedo Black

PAPER:  Happy Haunting DSP, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer

ACCESSORIES:  Baker's Box Thinlit Set, Spider Web Doily, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (star punch), Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Mini Metallic Clothespins

Let's get ready to check out the rest of the treats featured by the Design Team.  But first, did you know that the September Mini Session has a couple of BONUS ideas???  Yep, Connie and Mary did remakes of two of the tutorials with Christmas stamps....how cool is that!!  How about a sneak peek??

Envelope Board Treats

I have another Halloween treat to share, this time I used the ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD.

Treats by becreativewithnicole.com

These cute little treats are sooooo easy to make!  All you need is a 5 x 5 piece of designer paper, the envelope punch board and some embellishments!

Owl Treat by becreativewithnicole.com

The owl treat is my favorite of the two, I love how he is standing on the sentiment!  For Halloween, the new Howl-o-ween Treat Bundle is the way to go!  The coordinating paper is amazing too!

Skeleton Treat by becreativewithnicole.com

This one is the flip side of the design used for the owl.  I love the polka dots paired with Black Glimmer Paper!

The envelope punch board made it easy to make these plus a bunch more!  I think I got 12 made and embellished in just under an hour!  If you don't have the envelope punch board yet you're in luck....... it's on the Weekly Deals!

Howl-o-ween Treat

I love creating fun little treats and Halloween is a great excuse!  There's a super fun new bundle in the upcoming Holiday Catalog that is perfect for treats and all things Halloween.

Howl-o-ween Treat Bag by becreativewithnicole.com

Is this cute or what!!  Howl-o-ween Treats has bold images with matching framelits that give lots of options for Halloween creations.  I paired it with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit and a few bright bold colors.

CCMC368

I used the colors from the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  When I saw these colors, they were bright and bold and my first thought was Halloween!

Trick or Treat

The Tangerine Tango Mini Treat Bag was embossed with  Large Polka Dots then just a few simple elements were added.  A bold sentiment and hat from Howl-o-ween and a couple of Black Glimmer Paper stars.  The simple design makes it easy to create these in volume to give out to excited trick or treaters!

Howl-o-ween goodies

The bag is loaded with fun Halloween goodies that any kids would love!

Fun Howl-o-ween Treat by becreativewithnicole.com

To make the treats easy for the kids to take home, its packaged up in a cello bag.  The little activity book is a tiny bit too big to fit in the Mini Treat Bag, but fits perfectly behind it in a cello!

I just LOVE this fun treat idea and can't wait to explore more color options and design ideas!
