Birthday Bear

Have I told you how much I love THANKFUL FOREST FRIENDS??  It's such a great set with two greetings and several cute little animals, the bear being my favorite!  So, today I thought I'd show you another way of using it and made a birthday card.

Isn't this sweet!  I think this is a perfect card for someone with a fall birthday.

I kept the design pretty clean.  The sentiment from COTTAGE GREETINGS fit just right between two of the vines from THANKFUL FOREST FRIENDS.  I used markers to color them both in.  This was a great way to add color, but it also helped with the bottom vine that was part of the "Give Thanks" stamp.  I was able to isolate the portion I wanted.

The sweet bear was stamped with Soft Suede and fussy cut so I could pop him up with dimensionals.  I also added in a bit of washi tape (from Season of Cheer Designer Washi) and a couple gold sequins.  Turned out to be a simple yet very lovely fall birthday card!

Birthday Bear

Guess what today is!!  If you said that the HOLIDAY CATALOG is LIVE you are CORRECT!  I am sooooo excited about all of the GORGEOUS holiday products that you can order NOW!!  So, how about I give you a fun card that will inspire you to buy THANKFUL FOREST FRIENDS and LIGHTHEARTED LEAVES.



Is this too cute!!  I combined the leaves and INTO THE WOODS Designer Series Paper to make a very fall inspired SHAKER!  The bear was the cherry on top, he's so stinkin' cute!

I got the inspiration for this card from the cool sketch challenge at Try Stampin'-or not-on Tuesday.

I was so excited to see the theme was shakers, and I really like this simple design.

The shaker background is colorful leaves from LIGHTHEARTED LEAVES.  They give color but don't take away from the sequins.  And of course my favorite part is the sweet little bear.  I love how he looks with the combo of the wood grain design from INTO THE WOODS Designer Series Paper and the leaves.....he's in his element!  If you'd like to know more about how I make shakers, click HERE.

Thankful Forest Friends

I am taking a quick break from Halloween today and showing off a SUPER CUTE fall set called THANKFUL FOREST FRIENDS.

I loved this set as soon as I saw it, the sweet little animals make me smile!

I combined several new products from the upcoming Holiday catalog, it's wonderful how everything coordinates!  The card base is embossed with the gorgeous WOODLAND embossing folder and the banners are from INTO THE WOODS Designer Series Paper.

I kept my colors simple and used the sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary as inspiration.

With this fun sketch I had my card put together in no time!  The bear in place of the oval was my first thought and the rest just fell into place!
