Fall Fest

I have a second card to share today, this one is for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Here's a look at the sketch Mary Jo has for us this week.

My card features Fall Fest and Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper.

I had SOOOOOO much fun with this card!!  The ghost is just too cute for words and super easy to make.  He's just die cut from Whisper White with a couple of googly eyes and a small black mouth drawn in with marker.  I paired him with a simple pumpkin and a great background of designer paper.

After all the designer paper layers and focal point were in place, I added a couple of little details.  First, the sentiment from Ghoulish Greetings.  "Happy haunting" is the PERFECT sentiment for this card.  I stamped it directly on the card base with Staz On.  Lastly, spooky eyes from Freaky Friends are stamped around the card in Tangerine Tango to match the spooky eyes on the designer paper next to the ghost.

I hope you are inspired by this card to join the challenge!  Just go to Technostamper for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team.

Halloween Tiny Treat Box

If you haven't notice yet, I really like the new Tiny Treat Box from the Holiday Catalog.  I have yet another one to share today, decorated for Halloween.

The inspiration came from the return of the Late Night Stampers Challenge.  This month they have a Halloween challenge and anything goes!  I had treat boxes out on my desk from yesterday's post, so I went with it!

I kept this one as a regular box.  Each of the sides and the top are covered with my favorite pattern from the Motley Monsters Designer Paper.  The embellishments are simple, just a couple of bats from Freaky Friends plus a sentiment.

The contents are simple as well.  I did these mints the same as the other boxes, adding designer paper circles to the top and bottom.  This helps the candies sit neatly in the box.

I hope you enjoyed this version of the Tiny Treat Box!  I will be trying out more holiday ideas as we go along.

On another note, I want to give a big THANK YOU to all of you that left lovely comments on my post last Tuesday with  star shaker card.  I am in the process of doing a tutorial to hopefully post next week, so be sure to check back!  As for the BLOG CANDY WINNER, be sure to go to Create with Connie and Mary to see who won the FREE subscription.

Thanks for visiting today!  Happy stamping!

Freaky Friends for CCC16

It's Monday and I have two cards to share with you.  This first card is for the sketch challenge from the Creative Challenge Club.  Here's a look at the sketch.

Since I have been heavy into Christmas cards, I decided to go with a Halloween card for today.  I used Freaky Friends, Ghoulish Greetings and Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper.

I really love the Motley Monsters Designer Paper, it's just SO versatile!  I didn't do a ton of stamping on this card because the Designer Paper had already done the work for me !!  I used a bit of paper that had the cute little monster on the bottom with a cat and pumpkin.  I also added in a couple more pumpkins that I cut from another snippet of paper.

The card came together so quickly with all the layers of Designer Paper doing the work for me!  The only stamping I did was the sentiment.  I used Ghoulish Greetings stamp set to add a moon with Hello Honey cardstock, a circle punch and Staz On ink.

I hope you are feeling inspired to make your own card for the challenge!  You can find all the details plus more wonderful samples from the Design Team at the Creative Challenge Club.  You can also visit the Designer's blogs for more information about their cards.

Boo!

It's Thursday and Create with Connie and Mary have a fun color challenge just perfect for this time of year!  This week we are working with some great Halloween colors.

I just got My Paper Pumpkin for September in the mail at the beginning of the week, so I used it for today's card.

I haven't done a banner card in awhile, so I thought it would be fun for a Halloween card.  I kept it pretty simple using minimal stamping.

On a Basic Black card base, I added a Tangerine Tango Banner with "Boo" from Paper Pumpkin stamped twice.  To add a bit of color, 4 banners from Motley Monsters Designer Paper were added to the sides.  Each strip of designer paper is 3/4" wide then cut down to have the lengths vary.  I added a little flip to the ends with a bone folder for dimension.

The card still needed a little something, so I added several bats from Freaky Friends.  Two hold up the banners and one more in between the sentiments.

I think this turned out to be a fun Halloween card!  It's your turn now!!!  Join the challenge with me.  Just go to Create with Connie and Mary for all the details lus more great cards from the Design Team.

Freaky Friends Tag Card

It's Monday and time for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!!  Today I did something a little different.  First, let me show you the sketch.

Remember the take out box from Saturday"s Blog Hop?  I made a Freaky Friends tag for the top that was tucked in under the bow.  Well, I thought maybe I should use it for a card since it fit the sketch!

Isn't this fun!!  I was a little under the gun getting this card done.....I had a crazy weekend!  SOOOO...this tag came to my rescue!  I was able to put this card together in about 5 minutes since part of the work was already done for me.

I used Tangerine Tango for the card based.  Embossed the front with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  Added a striped design then the ghost design from Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper.  I love the combination of the bold stripes with the more subtle ghosts.

Next came the tag.  It really pops against the muted ghost paper and the Tangerine Tango cardstock.  I love re-purposing things and on this card it really saved me a lot of time!

Now it's your turn!  Join the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge too!  Just go to Technostamper for all the details and more great samples from the Design Team.
