A Spooky Season

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about HALLOWEEN CARDS!



SPARKLY SEASON was a set on my radar right away since it features more than one holiday.  I love sets like this that are multi-purpose!  It also comes as a bundle with the coordinating SEASONAL FRAME THINLITS which makes this a must have in my book!



Is this jack-o-lantern cute or what!  I used the chevron circle and face from the stamp set and added in the "spooky" from the thinlits.  I LOVE having words to die cut....so fun to use!



There are lots of little details that come together to make this card work.  Softly sponged stars with a decorative mask was my first step.  Then I layered on Happy Haunting washi tape before adding the jack-o-lantern and sentiment.  I even dressed up the hat that I pulled from Howl-o-ween Treat.  I love how it's a perfect fit!

Howl-o-ween Trick or Treat

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are all about HALLOWEEN!

The Holiday Catalog is chock full of goodies for the holidays and of course I want it all...lol!  One of my favorites for Halloween is the super fun set Howl-o-ween Treats and the coordinating Boo to You Framelits.

I have really been into Mini Treat bag cards so of course I had to do one with this bundle!

Bold bright colors make this a stand out!  The spider web doily makes for a perfect background on the treat bag!



A lot of elements went into this card, but I love how they came together perfectly!  Besides the SPIDER WEB DOILIES, the BLACK GLIMMER PAPER is my favorite new Halloween accessory!

Envelope Punch Board Treat Tutorial

I am back with a tutorial for the fun little treat that I shared last week.  I had LOTS of emails about how to make these cute little guys, so I here you go!  First let me show you a couple of new designs that I did.

SO CUTE, right??  I think the googlie eyes really made these cool!!

This first one has a Black Glimmer paper hat, so fashionable for a skeleton!

This next guy just preferred the bare bones!  Of course I had to use Black Glimmer paper somehow, so I added the "BOO"!

Ok, now to the nitty gritty!!  I am trying something different this time, something I hope will be helpful.  I wrote up the tutorial in PDF form for you to download!!  I would love to know if that is something you'd like in place of the tutorial just in the blog post, so leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Trick or Treat!

Have I told you how much I am loving HOWL-O-WEEN TREATS??  I am a sucker for stamp sets that come with coordinating framelits and when they are bundled with a discount, well...who can resist?!

For today's card though, I didn't need the framelits, I went simple and let the bold sentiment take center stage.



Isn't this fun!!  Bet you guessed it was going to be a SHAKER!  What got me thinking about doing this one was not only the nice bold sentiment, but the cool new HAPPY HAUNTING DESIGNER WASHI TAPE.

I love this style of shaker, they are easy to make and easy to mail!  I added silver sequins that I took from the Cottage Greetings Card Kit and BLACK GLIMMER paper stars made with the Confetti Star Border Punch.

This card is simple yet BOLD!!!  And as always the envelope is stamped and the inside too!

Happy Scenes Shaker + Tutorial!

As you know, I am obsessed with SHAKERS!  There's just something about sequins that makes me happy!  So of course I was thinking of possible shaker cards as I looked through the upcoming Holiday Catalog, and there is a set just perfect.....Happy Scenes.



What a cool window scene!!!  I used a spider web design from the Happy Haunting Designer Paper, is it perfect or what?!



The window is a perfect shaker over the spider webs.  I added silver and black sequins plus a few Silver Glimmer paper stars punched with the Confetti Star Border Punch.  I also added a few Black Glimmer paper stars as well to the card front.  Just wait until you see the Black Glimmer paper in person, it's AWESOME!
