Watercolor Wings for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Bog Hop!!  All during June we are featuring different FUN FOLD CARDS and this week is the SINGLE STAIR STEP CARD!

You should be arriving from Mary Brown's amazing blog Stamper Camper's Corner, wasn't her card fabulous!!  If you are just starting out here, welcome and enjoy the ride!  Be sure to stop at each blog to check out all of the cool cards we have for you today.

Today's FUN FOLD card is new style for me and I have to say I LOVE IT!  It was so much easier than I thought and has a great WOW factor since it stands beautifully.

As I thought about what to do with the card, I first focused on how to embellish the outer panels.  I looked through my new stamps and the vine in from the Hostess set Floral Wings jumped out at me.  Perfect fit for the slender 1" panels!  From there the rest just came together like magic!

You need a gorgeous butterfly to go with the floral vines, so I looked to the AWESOME new WATERCOLOR WINGS for my focal point.  This butterfly is way too much fun to stamp and can be highly addictive.....just warning you now!  Once you get this stamp set (and you MUST!) you will become obsessed with stamping multitudes of colorful butterflies.  This particular butterfly was stamped with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.  The key is to stamp off once for the first layer so it's lighter.  I will put together more color combos to share later, there are so many possibilities!  I will also share how to make the butterfly 3D, I'm thinking a video may be in order....let me know if you'd like to see more!

I needed a birthday card so I went with Cottage Greetings.  I love the sentiments, they coordinate beautifully with the butterfly and worked out great for this card!

I hope you are ready to see more gorgeous cards!  Let's head over to Debbie Henderson's gorgeous blog Debbie's Design's to see her amazing card for today.  Don't forget to continue through all of the blogs, you won't want to miss a thing!

Joy Fold Cards for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Bog Hop!!  All during June we are featuring different FUN FOLD CARDS and this week is the JOY FOLD CARD!

You should be arriving from Mary Brown's amazing blog Stamper Camper's Corner,
wasn't her card wonderful??!!  If you are just starting out here,
welcome and enjoy the ride!  Be sure to stop at each blog to check
out all of the cool cards we have for you today.

Today's hop is extra special, it's Connie's Birthday!  So, for a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Connie, I made a birthday card featuring the super cute Sprinkles on Top.

Wanna know a secret??  Even though this fun fold card has been around for awhile, I've never made one!  Crazy, right??  Well, now I know what all the fuss is about with this style of card, it's super FUN!!!

If you love Designer Paper, then this is something you NEED to try!  I got to play around and pick out different patterns of Cherry on Top Designer Paper to embellish all of the layers on this card.  If you think the front is cheerful and happy, wait til you see the inside!

Don't all these patterns work together beautifully??  With all the patterns everywhere, I went sweet and simple using just a sentiment in the center.

I kept the front pretty simple as well.  I built a paper birthday cake with cardstock and designer paper.  The sentiments are stamped on the layers, thought is was a cool way to embellish the cake.  A few candles on top and a couple of Bermuda Bay sequins finished things off.

And there you have it!! A great way to celebrate a birthday!!  Now let's hop over to Debbie Henderson's fabulous blog, Debbie's Designs to see the awesomeness she has created for today.  Be sure to continue through all the blogs and don't forget to wish Connie Happy Birthday!

Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop: Pop Out Swing Fold

Welcome to another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Bog Hop!!  All during June we are featuring different FUN FOLD CARDS and this week is the POP OUT SWING CARD!

You should be arriving from Mary Brown's amazing blog Stamper Camper's Corner, wasn't her card wonderful??!!  If you are just starting out here, welcome and enjoy the ride!  Be sure to stop at each blog to check out all of the cool cards we have for you today.

I was so excited about today's card, I have been wanting to try this type of fun fold for awhile now.  It took me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to do, but I think you'll like the end result.

I combined my obsession with shaker cards and this fun fold style to create a fabulous birthday card anyone would love!

This fun fold is so easy to create!!!  It really takes no time at all, just a couple of extras steps with a regular size card front.  I went with the fun new set You're So Sweet on page 57 of the new Annual Catalog.  It coordinates with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlet, but you can do lots more with it!

I started out with the sentiment stamped with Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White.  The Square Framelits were used to create the opening and the cut the cardstock for the shaker.  I used the third and fourth framelits from the outside.  I'm not going to go into great detail right now, but if you like this card and want to know more , leave a comment and I will consider doing a video if enough people are interested!  UPDATE:  There have been soooo many wonderful comments and I super appreciate it!! I love to hear what you think so stay tuned for the video you have asked for!!!  Click HERE to go to the TUTORIAL!!!

My shaker contains gold sequins, Crushed Curry stars with the Confetti Star Punch, and Watermelon Wonder cherries punched with the Cupcake Builder Punch.

When you pull the shaker, more magic happens and the card pops open!  I added a birthday greeting from Age Awareness plus a sweet little cupcake with the Cupcake Builder Punch.  The Cherry on Top Designer paper provided the fun candy pattern paper that I paired with Crushed Curry.

As always I made the envelope coordinate with the card with a cute little punched cupcake in the lower left corner.....always have to match!!!

I hope you enjoyed my shaker style pop out swing card!  Now it's time to hop on over to Debbie Henderson's beautiful blog Debbie's Designs to see what fabulous idea she's come up with this week!!

See it Again Saturday

Welcome to See it Again Saturday!! When I find a layout or project I really like, I will repeat that same thing with different products.  So, I figured why not share them with you!  This week's repeat card is another version of the the Flip Card that I shared on Tuesday.  I made another using colors for Patty Bennett's color challenge.

Here's my repeat card:

This is such a fun card, I love the flip design!  The Patterned Occasions set has been another favorite of mine.  This card is all Sale-a-bration products except the Get Well Greeting.  You can see the products used below.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you Monday for the next Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!

If it doesn't move.....stamp it!
